“Wha-” I try to find words to say but nothing comes to mind. Timothy ignores me, his eyes on the rising sun. I shake my head, not believing what I’m seeing. Without thinking my hand touches his cheek, to confirm that he is real. He doesn’t flinch or do anything when I touch him but stays calm, staring. I let my finger tips slowly trace the outline of his lips, making his eyes move towards mine.
