I looked at my mate and smiled, he was ranting on and on about how Herron was avoiding us ever since we joined the school. I couldn’t help the naughty thoughts that were mapping in my mind, it will be a tough power fight for us as I know we all want to be top. But just between you and me, I don’t mind being the receiver, even if it’s Herron on top.
Herron ….
He is the missing piece to our puzzle.
I discussed it with Lorenzo and he too feels like something is missing in our newfound relationship. For our kind, when you find your mate you are supposed to be complete but though I have found Lorenzo and I feel so strongly towards him as each day convinces me he is my true mate, I still feel a deficiency. I feel like there is, a missing part of my soul and every time I am near Herron I get this strong urge to make him mine, him ignoring us has been tearing me apart bit by bit.
When I met Lorenzo on that plane, we had decided to move into the same house, there was no need of getting separate places when we both had a common goal. This made it easier to get to know each other, I really liked Mrs Styrene and they had come to like Laurent. So, we’re were now like a little family. We still haven't discussed much about our rare bonding, we are the first ever three people mating and also the first to be mated to a human. Me being a vampires price and Lorenzo being the next Alpha of the biggest pack in the world, I really don't know how our relationship is going to work, but I am sure the Fates had their reasons for mating us, so when the time comes we will know what to do, at the moment we need to convince Herron to forgive us even if it means begging on my knees, I am willing to do that.
Am really glad the days of Vampires and Werewolves hating each other were over otherwise this mating would have faced many issues. Am glad because without that problem the only one we are facing now is getting to Herron.
After how we both treated him when we first met him, we totally understand why he is avoiding us.
We were currently on my bed just cuddling and talking, well mainly Lorenzo ranting and complaining. The TV was on but I didn’t care what went on there as I was lost in my thoughts, my hands playing with Lorenzo’s hair, which really smelt great by the way.
"Hey lovers, I hate to burst your bubble but am bored." Laurent whined as he walked into our room.
“Do we look like we care? Go find your mate to keep you busy Lau “
I really liked just cuddling with my mate and Lau just disrupted that.
“Oh, is that how you want it to be Dudu? Well your loss_ I thought you would be interested to know where I saw your human, but now I see you don’t.. "
I was suddenly attentive, and with the way Lorenzo sat up fast, I know he wanted to know too.
“please tell us and we will hang out with you later."
“Sorry guys your chance has passed, I will just head out on my own, maybe make human friends.”
Oh no he didn’t! I know he meant my human when he said ‘human friends’
Within seconds Laurent was corned on the wall between me and Lorenzo. We both growled at him threatening. He wasn’t scared though he just smiled, a mischievous look in his eyes.
“OK, OK don’t kill me, I was just kidding. He is in the ice rink just near the carnival. So maybe we should go ice skating? “
We didn’t have to be told twice as we scrambled to pick up warm clothes and our skating shoes. Luckily, we knew where it was as we had explored the town before we started school.
Somehow, I wished it was night so I would just use my vampire speed to get us there, either way, who said I can’t break a few speed limits?
When we arrived at the rink 10 minutes later, we found Herron and his teammates and a few girls already having fun. I felt a pang of jealousy at how easily he laughed and associated with them. Lorenzo squeezed my hand and I know he felt it too. And I made my decision not to take things slow anymore.
“Hey guys, hope you don’t mind if we join you? “
Herron was the first to react as he shouted a big NO but the girls said yes and the other guys just stood there, maybe they said something but I didn’t care to know as my sole focus was Herron. He looked so hot when he tries to put a blank face while talking to us.
“how about we make this fun and compete? “Laurent said getting that mischievous look in his eyes again.
Being jocks, the guys didn’t like being challenged but they took the bait. Herron accepted the challenge and said that whichever team wins, will get the other team to do anything they want.
I smiled, thanking Laurent in our link for this idea, am so sure we will win.
“Seeing as you are only three, we will only pick three guys from our side, we don’t want you guys complaining after we beat your asses “
Oh, getting corky, are we? I like that Herron it turns me on.
I smirked as Herron choose two other guys to join him. If only they knew I was good, very good in ice hockey in all my lifetimes, they wouldn’t be getting corky, especially my sweet human mate.
“May the best win,” I said as I put on a very evil smile.
This is going to be fun.
