I went to grab him but he was already out the door. Am going to catch him, he knows that. Payback is coming. He better watch out.
I passed a few people on the corridors, most just saying their goodbyes. Keeping a secret around here was very hard, so they all knew where I was going.
They knew how my mate slipped through my fingers. I still feel stupid at that. I can't believe I used not being gay as an excuse for breaking up with him, that was low for me. Because I am sure no straight guy does the things I wished I could do with him, every time we kissed I had to try so hard not to tear his clothes and have my way with him. I wish I had turned eighteen when we met maybe I would have known he was my mate but then again I felt so much for him that if I was, smart enough I could have suspected he was my mate. It actually never crossed my mind as he was human and no supernatural has ever been mated with a human before, same s*x mating were still rare as the first one only happened four decades ago.
Am already missing that kid and I don’t even know if he is my true mate or not.
Why was I reborn a vampire and not a werewolf, at least they have a very good scenting and they know the moment they gate near a potential mate, that much I have learned from my previous lives where I was reborn as a werewolf three times.
Either way I am willing to find out for real if the human Herron was my mate.
I take back what I said about secrets in this coven, well because I have kept my past lives from them. Not even my family knew.
IWhile they can’t walk in the sun, I can. I can also eat food and only need blood once a week. There is an explanation to that, I was born a vampire not turned like most of them were. Only the royal bloodline is made up of born vampires. If only they knew. Lauren is my long distance cousin so he too as born not made.
Grabbing a pack of blood from the fridge, I said my last byes to my so-called friends and rushed out where Laurent was waiting.
“aren’t you in a hurry anymore? I could use some sleep you know.”
I just smiled at that, choosing not to talk.
He looked at me as if he wanted to say something but decided not to. Good for you. Dealing with Laurent is so easy.
Despite that, our drive to the airport was full of banter, of course, Laurent kept to himself while Kade and Jade talked about all the mischief they have been up to. Am going to miss them since I don’t know how long it will take, but either way, am glad because they can always visit.
So that’s how I got to this plane, sitting next to my best friend. Just as we were settling in, I smelled chocolates and dandelions. The scent was so sweet.
Yours have to be kidding me.
I thought I had already found my mate and he smelt like strawberries, not chocolate. Or maybe it’s not a scent, just soap or something.
“Laurent, do you smell that? “
“Smell what?”
“Chocolates and dandelions “
He didn’t have to say it aloud as I could see the confusion on his face. He also knew I had found my mate and this new scent wasn’t his.
I checked my watch and we still had four minutes before take-off.
“I will be right back Lau, I want to check this out"
He offered to come with but I let him know I appreciate, though I had to do it alone.
He was already doing a lot for me, abandoning his life in Paris, to come with me to America.
There was something about this scent that made me feel just the way I felt that Herron was my true mate.
I sniffed the air until I reached to his sit. As I got closer, I could feel the scent get woodsier, Like the forest. And also, he was a werewolf.
I put my hand on his shoulder to get his attention, and the fireworks happened. The sparks and the tingles felt so good. I just wanted more of him, I could hold him so tight and never let go.
Then he moaned and I swear to gods, I almost c*m I’ my pants. He tried masking it with a cough then looked at me trying to look bored as if it didn’t affect him. I could see beyond that mask though.
“How can I help you “
OMG, his voice. I but my tongue to hold in the moan that was ready to escape my mouth. I tried to answer but no words came out, I didn’t want to take my eyes from his as we starred at each other.
Slap! What the...? That’s when I noticed the petite women next to him. He had slapped both of us, I couldn’t get angry though because I know we needed it.
“The plane is about to take off, go buckle up boy, this is not the place for this, and next time tries not to eyefuck my son in front of me!! “
At the word ‘eyefuck’ I could see the hottie’s eyes go wide. Not believing his mum could be so crude.
I wished to stay there but like the crazy woman said it’s not the right place.

I didn’t wait for a reply as we were running out of time.
This is going to be a very long flight.
