FORBIDDEN LOVE

CHAPTER 10

Bella kept looking at Richmond, while Kendra who was facing Bella realised that she was the same girl she saw the other day at Bastos . Before she could say a word , Bella started walking away with eyes full of tears.

_KENDRA: Hey Richmond, that girl was looking at us( pointing at Bella) ,and if I'm not mistaken,I saw her looking at you the other day at Bastos.Do you know her?

_RICHMOND: Which girl are you talking about? ( Looking towards Bella's direction)

_KENDRA: the one with the blue gown. She was standing behind you and from the look in her eyes , I could see she was very shocked and surprised.

_RICHMOND: Nevermind Kendra, I don't know her. Maybe she's mistaking me for someone else.

_KENDRA: maybe.But this is the second time.

Richmond went home that Evening very happy because Bella's behavior is proving that she loves him. He's sad to know that she's hurt but if that will make her declare what she feels for him then good.

Kendra on the other hand went home with questions on her mind.she vowed to see Bella herself Even if it means going back to that restaurant to wait for her .

_ KENDRA: something is wrong somewhere, I can't believe that the same girl I saw the other day is the same person I saw today.something is fishy and I don't believe what Richmond said.he was also looking at that girl the other day.i have to find out , because I'm not ready to loose Richmond to one village girl.

Bella got home and went straight to bed.She cried and cried . Eve came in later and saw her lying in bed.

_EVE:Hey Bella, are you ok?

_BELLA:......

_EVE: Hey baby cousin, you have been crying, what is the matter? Talk to me

_BELLA: I saw him this evening with the same lady we saw the other day.they look so happy.i can't stand seeing him with another person Eve. he did not even see me because he was busy looking at her. 

_EVE: Calm down Bella,if he was meant to be yours then he will surely be.

_BELLA: But he is already with someone else ! Maybe he just wanted to fool me,I don't think he really loved me like he claimed. Now that I love him ,he decided to forget about me .(crying)

_EVE: stop crying bella.i know how you feel please pull yourself together.

The following day, Kendra left the house very early to go and wait for Bella at that entrance.she was seated at that same restaurant hoping to see bella. She waited for close to an hour and when she was about leaving, she saw Bella.

_KENDRA : hey ( referring to Bella)

_BELLA: How may I help you?

_KENDRA: I don't need your help.I just want to know why you have been following Richmond around.

_BELLA: hahahaha,I don't know what you are talking about.

_KENDRA: Don't play dumb, i have seen you twice staring at him.i don't believe it's a coincidence so start talking.

_BELLA: why not ask him instead, I don't have time for childish talk.if you don't have anything important to say I beg to take my leave ( walking away)

_KENDRA: you don't walk away when I'm still talking.do you know who I am?

_BELLA: I'm not interested in your personality.stay away from me.

_KENDRA: if you have anything to do with Richmond you better put an end to it. I won't share him with anybody. ( looking Bella straight in the eyes) we will be getting married and I count on you to stay away from him.if not……

_BELLA: If not what? You think you can threaten me ? Hahahaha ,let me tell you something, that Richmond you call your husband to be is the one running after me and I think he's just using you.have a great day.

Bella left Kendra pretending to be ok but only God knows how she felt when Kendra said she will be getting married to Richmond soon.she did not want to show her weakness to Kendra so she pretended to be strong but once she got to campus she went straight to the restroom and started crying.Meanwhile Rose saw her entering the restroom and decided to follow her, only to Meet Bella crying.

_ROSE: you have been crying so much lately bestie.what is it this time around.

_BELLA: I'm not crying,just wanted to wash my face.

_ROSE: I know you so well bestie, and besides you are just from home so why wash your face .

_BELLA: Eurrrr….( Stammering)

_ROSE: follow me bestie, we still have 30 minutes before lectures.you know you can't fool me, I have to know what's bothering you.

Rose has known Bella for close to three years. She knows when Bella is trying to hide something.

_ ROSE: Now tell me what is eating you up bestie.

_BELLA: I met the lady I saw with Romaric the other day as I was coming here.

_ROSE: Hmmmm, what does she want from you?

_BELLA: she came to ask me to leave Richmond alone, she also said they will be getting married soon (sad).

_ROSE: Is that why you were crying earlier? Look bestie ( holding her hands) if that girl came right here to meet you it simply means two things , firstly either she's trying to make you scared so you can abandone Richmond or she just wanted to confirm whether you have anything to do with richmond.the fact that you've seen them together twice does not means he's dating her.you know how spoiled this rich people kids can be .if you dig into this you might discover that she is just forcing herself on him or both families want them to be together. A woman who knows that a man truly loves her will not bother going about attacking other women because of him.cheer up ok

_BELLA: the thing is , this girl in question has never seen Richmond and I together before yet she came attacking me simply because she has seen me twice looking at Richmond

_ROSE: Don't mind her, so are you willing to give Richmond a chance?

_BELLA: After seeing him with that girl I don't know what to say.

_ROSE: The answer is in your heart and if you were crying earlier because of what that lady said then it simply means you love him.o won't force you to say anything,the only person you have to say something to is Richmond.

_BELLA : How is Daniel?

_ROSE: when you want to change the topic you start asking after Daniel, anyways he's fine.

_BELLA: hahahaha ,it's time for lectures let's go.

Two days later, Kendra decided to pay a surprise visit to Richmond after collecting his address from his mom. She waited till evening before going there since during the day he is at work.later that evening Bella went to one of the biggest restaurants and bought some food.she was accompanied to Richmond's place by her father's driver .

Richmond got home that evening and decided to take a bath.when he finished and was about dressing up he heard a knock on the door and rushed to open only to Meet Kendra standing with a basket of food.

_KENDRA: hey! you look so surprised to see me .

_RICHMOND: hi, how did you manage to get here? I can't remember giving you my address.

_KENDRA: Is that how to welcome me? I think coming here was a bad idea , I'm leaving ( walking away)

_RICHMOND: no no no, that's not what I meant , I'm just surprised to see you. Don't be offended . please come in .

_KENDRA: ok , I wanted to surprise you.As for your address I called your mom and she gave me

When she said that Richmond said in his mind that he will call her mom and scold her later.

_RICHMOND: that's fine.welcome to home.

_KENDRA: not bad, you have a small nice apartment,but I think it lack A Bit of feminine touch.

_RICHMOND: unfortunately I don't have a woman ( thinking about Bella)

_KENDRA: oh, what are you waiting for?( Placing a hand on his shoulder and caressing His jaw)

_RICHMOND: I've not seen the right woman yet.( Looking at kendra)

_ KENDRA : Hmmmm, because you don't want to ( looking at him straight in the eyes.

_RICHMOND: I'm a very busy person .

_KENDRA : that does not stop you from having a woman in your life.

After saying that Richmond started thinking about Bella, he started imagining that Bella was the one standing in front of him and not Kendra. He only discovered it was his imagination when Kendra was almost kissing him

_RICHMOND: stop! 

_KENDRA: ……

_RICHMOND: I'm sorry Bella 

_KENDRA: I'm not Bella, and besides who is Bella?

_RICHMOND: Oh( realising his mistake) nevermind, I don't know why I called you bella.i don't know who she is.

_ KENDRA : I brought some food.lets eat

_RICHMOND: Thanks Kendra.

While they were eating, Kendra was observing Richmond and saying to herself that she will do everything to have him.she plans to know who Bella is . After eating, they watched a movie together and Kendra left .

Bella , alongside Rose, Daniel, Eve and Patrick decided to go to the cinema. Bella has been so sad these days and her friend and cousin decided to take her out so she can have a good time and forget her issues.If only they knew that it was not really a good idea.
