FORBIDDEN LOVE

CHAPTER 16

Kendra was unable to take a step forward .She has never seen her dad so furious like this before.

_MR GEORGE : what were you thinking? That I wouldn't know right? Answer me!

_KENDRA: I'm sorry dad.i didn't want to hurt you .I was scared Reason why I wanted to go back to Spain but you told me about your plans concerning Richmond so I thought I could use him to cover up my secret. I'm sorry father (crying)

_MR GEORGE : I'm so disappointed in you.Do you Know my reputation and career is at stake if news of your pregnancy surface online.merde!

_KENDRA: I promise to fix this father.

_MR GEORGE: when your mother died I sacrificed my life for you.i didn't remarry , I gave you everything.you attend the best schools and you have never had any financial problems but that did not stop you from bringing shame to this family.i want to be alone ( walking away)

 Kendra cried and cried. when she was done crying,her hatred for Bella increased.she decided to finish what she started the following day.

The next day Richmond got a call from that unknown number again. He gave Richmond their address and warned him not to Inform the police . Patrick told him not to go ,he should send that tape to Kendra instead.

Kendra was on her way to that uncompleted building when she received a notification.when she saw that it was coming from Richmond. When she listened to the audio ,she nearly had an accident.she packed by the road side and replayed the audio.

_KENDRA: how is it possible?.i can't remember telling anyone about my plans to hurt Bella and besides I don't have any friend.so who could have taped what I said.

She was confused and decided to call Richmond

_KENDRA: hello.

_RICHMOND: hahahaha,I knew you would call immediately. Release Bella else….

_KENDRA: Else what? I don't give s**t about Bella. 

_RICHMOND: you wouldn't want me to destroy your father's career and reputation.just imagine when this audio will surface online .

_KENDRA: What do you want?

_RICHMOND :Release Bella that's all.

_KENDRA: And if I don't?

_RICHMOND: then get ready to face the consequences.

Kendra was pretending to be strong but she knows her plans have failed and her father will disown her if she destroys his career.

She decided to call her men and ask them to release Bella.they did exactly what she asked them to do.They dropped Bella at the entrance to her quarter and drove off.she was very tired and felt pains all over her body. Bella managed to walk home.Eve and the others were home when they heard a knock on the door.

_EVE: Bella!

Richmond and Patrick rushed to the door and met Bella sitting .She was very weak and could not stand for long.they carried her inside. Eve helped in giving her a bath and asked her to sleep.

_RICHMOND: How is she?

_EVE: she's still weak , let her get some rest for now 

_RICHMOND: I feel guilty,I promised to protect her.( with a sad face)

_EVE: Don't say so please.its not your fault besides we didn't know Kendra would go this far.

_RICHMOND: I have one last thing to handle.

Since the last time Richmond had a discussion with his parents,they have not said anything.He decided to meet them again.When he got home, his parents were in the living room.

_RICHMOND: hey Mom.Dad 

_MRS SHANNEN : Hey son, it's almost midnight, what brings you here?

_RICHMOND: what I'm about to say is very important so I could not wait till tomorrow morning. 

_MR ROLAND: Hmmm, what is the matter son?

Richmond played the audio tape and his parents were shocked when they noticed that it was actually Kendra . When Richmond told them everything including the k********g of Bella, his parents were speechless.

_RICHMOND: You see father, a woman might be beautiful like Kendra but behind that beauty lies a very bad character. Don't tell me she did everything because of love.

_MRS SHANNEN : Oh my God. I never knew she could do such a thing. What do we do now?

_MR ROLAND : I will talk to her father and see what to do.

_RICHMOND: All I want is for her to stay away from Bella and I. If her Dad refuses to cooperate I will be forced to do otherwise.

_MR ROLAND : it hasn't gotten to that son.let me handle things.

_RICHMOND: One last thing Dad, I don't want you people to choose a woman for me.i will bring Bella here any time soon and I count on you to make her feel comfortable.good night.

Richmond Left his parents who were still contemplating on what to do next.His Dad still had hopes of making Kendra his daughter in-law. Richmond did not mention that she's pregnant because of Patrick's status as a doctor.But it did not take long for his parents to know.the next morning…..

_MR ROLAND : Hello my good friend

Good morning.

. Mr George on the other end was not in a good mood.

_MR GEORGE : Good morning my friend.

_MR ROLAND : I would love to see you today .

_MR GEORGE : OK, I don't feel well so you can just come to my house .

_MR ROLAND : OH, i will be there in an hour's time then.

Mr Roland arrived after an hour like he said and met his friend lying on the coach with eyes focused on the ceiling.he was lost in thought.his facial expression shows how worried he is.

_MR ROLAND : Hey friend, what is wrong with you? You look like someone that has not slept in days.

_MR GEORGE : That's true. I'm facing a very delicate situation.I blame myself because I have been so busy that I didn't notice the things happening under my nose.

_MR ROLAND : come out clear.what are you talking about?

_MR GEORGE : my daughter is two months pregnant and the man responsible is nowhere to be found.

Mr Roland who was bringing a different news was shocked at what he just heard.He started regretting why he was forcing his son on Kendra.

_MR GEORGE : you said you wanted to see me, what is the matter?

_MR ROLAND : Eurrrr I don't know if it's appropriate to tell you now.you are going through a lot already.

_MR GEORGE : That's fine.what could be worse than what I just told you.

If only he knew what Mr Roland was about to say he wouldn't have insisted because he won't be able to bear the shock.

Mr Roland played the audio tape and Mr George was devastated.he could not take it when he heard about the k********g of bella.the shock was serious that he collapsed.

Mr Roland rushed him to the hospital while Kendra who was still sleeping woke up later and was told what happened.She started crying and blaming herself for everything.Kendra  rushed to the hospital and was told her father is in coma.

_MR ROLAND : calm down my daughter ( tapping her on the shoulder)

_KENDRA: don't touch me! it's all your fault.if you didn't support the idea of me being your son's wife all this won't be happening.

_MR GEORGE : Mind what you say and Don't dare raise your voice at me.you are the reason why your father is in this condition and the earlier you learn to behave the better for you.

_KENDRA: If anything happens to my father I won't forgive you.

_MR ROLAND : your worry should be whether your father will be able to forgive you after everything you have done.

When he said that, Kendra realized that her dad had come across that tape .She started trembling because that was too much for him to bear. She realized that her bad deeds were catching up with her.

_KENDRA: oh what have I done? (Crying) my dad is the only thing I have.I don't want anything to happen to him.

_MR ROLAND : your father is a very good person.i don't know where you took this heart of yours from.i will advise you to pull yourself together and pray for his recovery.

Mr Roland left Kendra at the hospital and went to work.He told his son everything and Richmond felt sorry for Mr George.He has been a very good person and has always treated him well.He decided to go to the hospital later in the afternoon.

Bella on the other side was still not feeling well. Patrick asked her to come to the hospital for some tests.when Bella arrived at the entrance to the hospital, she was shocked to see Kendra standing in one corner looking so sad.she was about walking away when Kendra called her.

_KENDRA: Hey wait.

_BELLA: Are you here to molest me again? Aren't you tired?

_KENDRA: Listen Bella, I'm very sorry for Everything.i was very stupid. I was focused on hiding my secret that I did a lot of things that I'm not proud to say.i know that you hate me.i think I'm already paying for my mistakes.my father is in coma fighting for his life ( crying) I don't know whether he will forgive me when he wakes up. Please find it in your heart to forgive me .I will never bother you again. I was not really in love with Richmond ,I just wanted a father for my unborn child inorder to preserve my father's reputation.

_BELLA: I hold no grudges against you. I'm thankful to God for keeping me alive, I don't know what would have happened if the man you sent succeeded in r****g me .I forgive you and I hope you learn a lesson from this. Have a great day.

Kendra felt better after talking to Bella .She was given permission to go inside and see her father even though he was still unconscious.

_KENDRA: Father, my sweet Dad, I know you can hear me.I remember when mommy died you were devastated ,but you decided to love  on because a part of her was still with you .You said I remind you about mom and that you will give me the best education. You invested so much in me. I never felt lonely when I left the country because despite your tight schedule you still created time to come and see me Every semester. I came home to have a good time with you and instead of that I did a lot of bad things that landed you in this situation ( crying) I'm very sorry dad, I'm not worthy to be your daughter.please fight for your life and I promise to change,I've learned from my mistakes. Don't leave me like mom please.

When she was still talking her father opened his eyes and tears started coming out.
