FORBIDDEN LOVE

CHAPTER 3

The summer holidays has just  ended and Bella is ready to resume school.she spent the holidays working as a sales girl in a bookshop . From the pay she received she paid some of her school requirements, gave some money to her cousin to pay rents and kept the rest for feeding. Bella is preparing to go to school and her cousin is making breakfast 

_BELLA: big cousin ( referring to Eve) it seems as if I've gained weight eh

_EVE : when you were busy eating too much what were you expecting.very soon you will have to get new clothes (while laughing).

_BELLA: I don't blame you hahahaha, 

After taking breakfast Bella left for school . this year is not going to be an easy one for Bella, she has a tight schedule that demands Maximum concentration.they have just finished the last lectures for the day and Bella is heading to the canteen with her friend Rose to buy some chewables ,while telling each other how they spent the summer holidays

_ROSE: my bestie ( referring to Bella) I was so busy working at my mother's shop that I had no time to do other stuffs.my mom is a very strict woman that does not tolerate any form of laziness when it comes to her business but she's a good and caring mother at home. How did you spend your holidays?

_BELLA: I spent the first month resting at home. My parents wanted me to visit them in the village but I told them that I would love to look for something to do here that will give me some money and they accepted. So my cousin Eve helped me by securing a job at a bookshop .So I spent the last two months working there and I can say it was the best decision. I saved a lot of money.my parents will just pay my tuition.

_ROSE:That was a great idea instead of going back to the village.so tell me , why have you decided to avoid dating?

_BELLA: I don't want any form of distraction now bestie, I have other priorities and dating is the least of my worries.so tell me,are you seeing anyone?

_ROSE: YES.guess?

_BELLA : Don't tell me you finally gave that loser a chance.

_ROSE: Daniel is not a loser Bella ,you will like him when you get to meet him.

Daniel is a law student that has been after Rose for the past two years,so this summer holidays she finally said yes.

_BELLA: anyways, it's your choice and all I can say is that I hope he makes you happy

_ ROSE: thanks bestie. Sooner or later you will fall in love and then you will discover that it's the best feeling.

_ BELLA: As of now , I'm in love with my books( while laughing) 

_ ROSE : If you say so, only the way that handsome economics teacher always has eyes on you eh , I think he likes you and is only scared because you are his student or simply because he has not had the chance to meet you after school.

_BELLA:I don't think so bestie, I'm not the only one who he  looks that way , he's a lecturer and looking at his students while lecturing is obligatory.

_ Rose: I know what I'm saying bestie, that guy always looks at you in a different way, you will give me reason any of these days. Remember the last time I said the same thing about the language lecturer, and you gave the same response but later discovered I was right.

_ BELLA: Whatever,I don't have time for that now.now that you are officially Mrs Daniel I hope you will still focus on studies as you've been doing before oh.

_ ROSE: Of course , the fact that I'm dating Daniel does not mean he's my first priority. And besides my parents are very strict when it comes to academic performance so I have to give my best.

_BELLA: so Daniel was also in Douala this summer holidays eh

_ Rose: yes , we had a good time though I was a bit busy .

_  BELLA: I hope you didn't do bad things oh( teasingly)

_ROSE: irish Bella! We've just started dating and we have to get to know each other first.

_BELLA: I was just pulling your leg bestie, I trust you.

_ Rose: Daniel is a gentleman and not a rascal as you think Bella.

_BELLA:  I didn't call him one , and even if he was one you won't accept cuz you love him.

_ ROSE: Are you serious now( with a sad face) 

_BELLA : Cheer up bestie, I was just joking. You are not a kid so I believe you've made the right choice, let's see what the future holds.

_  Rose: now your talking ( smiling)

_ BELLA : Talking of him ( pointing at Daniel coming towards them) that's your prince charming coming, let me leave the two love birds to have their privacy( walking away) see you tomorrow Rose

_DANIEL: hello Bella

_BELLA: Hi Daniel , how was the holiday?

_ DANIEL : Good, I hope you are not leaving because of me?

_BELLA: No no ,I was already heading home before you showed up.have a nice evening.

_DANIEL: Wait Bella, I know you don't like me and you are just talking to me for the sake of your friend.I don't know the impression you have about me ,but believe me. My feelings for your friend is genuine.Im not asking you to like me ,but please try to be nice and I promise you will like me with time.

_BELLA: it's true that when you started trying to court my friend I didn't like you, but it's you that my friend has chosen and as a friend I have to accept that.i pray you don't hurt her feelings cuz she really loves you.As for me ,I have nothing against you .

_DANIEL: thank you Bella, I really love your friend like I said, I promise to make her happy it's a promise.have a nice evening Bella.

_BELLA: bye

Bella See's any guy trying to Court her as a distraction, she just wants to focus on studies and nothing else . That's why she does not appreciate the fact that her friend is dating Daniel ,but to avoid looking like a jealous person ,she just has to wish them well.

Bella is walking home while listening to music , she's not even paying attention while crossing the road and boooom a car has just hit Bella and the last thing she saw before going unconscious is a fine gentleman trying to carry her.

Who is this gentleman ? This is where the story begins..
