FORBIDDEN LOVE

CHAPTER 11

 Bella agreed to go to the cinema with her friends. She wanted to forget Richmond and move on with her life, After all she was doing fine before he came into her life that's what she told herself.so Patrick came and picked them up for Cinema, they were discussing while in the car

_ROSE: Bestie, you look beautiful tonight.

_BELLA: stop flattering me. What's so special about my outfit?

_ROSE: You are just like Kim kadashian ,just that you are an African woman with dark skin.

_BELLA: hahahaha, let me be bestie.you are so funny.

_EVE: she's right Bella ,you are stunning Tonight.

Patrick and Daniel also said that she's beautiful too.

_BELLA: Hmmmm, did you guys arrange to flatter me tonight or what?

They all burst into laughter

_BELLA: Anyways , thanks for the compliments.

_ROSE: I Wish someone could see how beautiful you are tonight.

When she said so, Bella's face changed and that's when Rose realized that she has just changed Bella's mode.

_ ROSE: hey bestie I'm sorry ok, I didn't mean to offend you.

_ BELLA: That's fine . ( Forcing a smile).

Richmond have been so busy for the past days, so after winning the case of the lady who wanted the custody of her kids he decided to go out and have a good time .He invited Kendra who did not hesitate to accept as usual 

_RICHMOND: On the phone, hey Kendra I'm on my way to come and pick you up.

_KENDRA: I'm ready .

_RICHMOND: I will be there in a few

 minutes.

He picked her up and they left.

_KENDRA: Which movie are we watching tonight?

_RICHMOND: " the fisherman's diary"

_KENDRA: What's it all about?

_KENDRA: it's a movie directed by Enah johnscott inspired by Nobel peace prize winner malala yousafzai.its the story of a young girl by name Ekah( Faith Fidel) determined to go to school in a community where a girl child going to school is a taboo.Her determination to break this old adage embroiled with her father Solomon's ( Kang Quintus) past experience with girl child education.

_KENDRA: wow! Interesting.i can't wait to watch it 

_RICHMOND: you can also watch on Netflix anytime.

_KENDRA: Wow, it means the movie is really great.

Bella and her friends got to the Cinema and took their seats.

_DANIEL: We will be watching the fisherman's diary tonight.

_EVE: Wow, I've been hearing a lot about the movie.

_PATRICK: that movie has won a slot of awards and more is still to come.

_BELLA: wow.i can't wait to watch it.

_ROSE: I'm I the only one who wants puff corn ?

_DANIEL: all you think about is food

Everyone burst into laughter.

_ROSE: That's what you have to say eh, ok .I won't say anything again.

_DANIEL: I'm just kidding babe.let me get the puff corn.

_ BELLA: Ndole ( love)will kill some people.

_ROSE: hahahaha.

Meanwhile Richmond and Kendra came to the same cinema house and took their seats on the other extreme while Bella and others were on their own side.

When the movie started everyone was quiet and concentrated. Bella decided to go out for a while and when she woke up, Richmond saw her and decided to follow her outside.kendra only saw him going out and curiosity made her go out too.

_ RICHMOND : Wow, Bella?

_BELLA: you? What are you doing here?

_RICHMOND: this is a cinema Bella.

_ BELLA:It seems as if you like following me around.Are you trying to show me how it was easy for you to move on after trying to fool me with fake love?

_RICHMOND: Bella listen…

_BELLA: no, you listen to me. I'm tired of you playing with me.i can see you have a new girlfriend or fiance whatever.so let me be.

_RICHMOND: That's not true, Kendra is just a family friend. You are the one I love Bella.

_ BELLA: You are not serious. I've seen you several times with her and the way she looks at you does not correspond to what you've just said. 

_RICHMOND: ok, I admit that our parents want us to get married but I don't want to, besides Kendra and I have never had a discussion about marriage.

_BELLA: lies! You guys are getting married soon .

_RICHMOND: where is that coming from?

_BELLA: I should be asking you that.

_RICHMOND: I don't know who is feeding you with all this false information.Bella listen to me ( getting closer) I've loved you since the first day I saw you, I've done everything for you to love me.look into my eyes and you will see that I am sincere( holding her hands) I love you, I never knew I could feel ever feel this way towards a woman.i know you love me and something is stopping you from admitting it.please Bella give us a chance.give love a chance , aren't you tired of fighting this feeling?.

_BELLA: ……( shaking)

Kendra who was also outside heard everything and just when Richmond was about kissing Bella, She came out and started clapping her hands.

_KENDRA: Bravo, bravo, ( clapping)

Richmond was surprised, contrary to Bella who was looking at Kendra with a neutral expression.

_RICHMOND: What are you doing here Kendra? Let's go back inside.

_KENDRA: yeah, we will surely go inside when you must have told me who this wretched is,?

_RICHMOND: Kendra I….

_KENDRA: I don't even need an explanation,I heard Everything.remember I asked you severally who this lady was and you said you don't know her , you also called me Bella the last time I came to your place and I've confirmed that she is bella.so you used me to render her jealous right?

_KENDRA: I can't believe you are choosing this thing over me( looking at Bella with disdain)

_RICHMOND: That's enough Kendra, she's not a thing and I can't remember promising you anything so I don't know why you are creating a scene.

_KENDRA: So all this while ,you were just pretending eh.

_RICHMOND: listen, I told you that I'm still waiting for the right one right, the truth is that she's the one( referring to Bella)

_KENDRA: so you used me to have her ,I promise that both of you will pay for this ( walking away)

Richmond did not stop her from going.

_RICHMOND: Bella I'm sorry ( kneeling down.)

_BELLA: Let me be. I've had enough! My life was peaceful before you came and turned everything upside down.i don't want to ever see you again.

She left Richmond and went home, her cousin started calling and she said she had gone home.they were all surprised until Eve showed Richmond to others.

_EVE: I now understand why she left, that's Richmond seating at that end 

_ROSE: He looks so handsome, I wonder why my friend is wasting time, these types of guys are rare to find.he looks like those American Mafia bosses .

_DANIEL: Hmmmm, you are admiring another man in my presence eh.

_ROSE: I'm just appreciating beauty. It's you my heart has chosen.

_DANIEL: Hmmmm.

_ROSE: hahahaha.if you see your head eh Dan, you look jealous

Everyone  burst into laughter.Richmond decided to talk to Eve .

_RICHMOND: Good evening everyone.please Eve I will like to talk to you if you don't mind.

_ROSE: if you don't mind Richmond or whatever please stop making my friend sad. If you don't know what you want then let her be.

_RICHMOND: I'm not in any way trying to hurt your friend.i love her so much to even think of hurting her.

_ROSE: You better be serious.

_EVE: That's fine Rose. Richmond, let's talk outside.

They went outside 

_EVE: What is it you want us to talk about?

_RICHMOND: You know I love your cousin very much.And my intention is to make her happy.

_EVE: by going about with another lady right?

_RICHMOND: It's not what you think , Kendra is just a family friend. It's true that our parents want us to get married but I don't love her and that's what I was trying to tell Bella earlier but Kendra heard Everything.please Eve, try and talk to Bella.

_EVE: That Kendra is crazy.Tell her to stay away from Bella.

_RICHMOND: What do you mean by that?

_EVE: she confronted Bella on her way to school last week and said you guys will be getting married soon.

_RICHMOND: what! I can't Believe Kendra said such a thing.i mean how could she? We've never had any discussion about marriage.merde !

_EVE: just tell her to stay away from my cousin.Have a nice evening.

_RICHMOND: Don't forget to talk to Bella please.i can't afford to lose her.

Richmond could not believe that Kendra went and attacked Bella.he decided to call Kendra.

_RICHMOND: hello Kendra

_KENDRA……

_RICHMOND: I know you can hear me.i Don't know what you were thinking when you told Bella that we will be getting married.i thought you were matured .please stay away from Bella.

_KENDRA: hahahaha, I can't Believe you are choosing that dirty thing over me, what can she give you that I don't have.I always get what I want and I'm not going to let her take what belongs to me .

_RICHMOND:if you do anything stupid you will hear from me.

_KENDRA: hahahaha.you will be mine I promise you.

Richmond went home very furious.he was talking to himself.

_RICHMOND: Kendra is insane.i can't believe my dad wants me to spend my life with such a woman.i have to fix things with bella.my parents will have to accept her.

Bella was lying in bed when Eve got home.

_EVE: oh my baby cousin, I know you are going through a lot right now.be strong.

_BELLA: I don't want to talk about it please.

_EVE: he loves you bella.if you love him then you should not give up.

_BELLA: I don't know what to say, Eve.his family have chosen a girl for him already.

_EVE: And he has chosen you . Don't you think it's time for you to give him a chance?

_BELLA: I will think about it.

The next day Bella was home.Richmond called Eve and she told him that Bella was home so he decided to go and talk with her. He got there and knocked but Bella refused to open after hearing his voice.when he was about going, she opened the door.

_RICHMOND: Hey , I'm sorry for coming without informing you.

_BELLA: you are here already so no need to say sorry.what do you want?

_RICHMOND:I want to have a serious talk with you.

_BELLA: I don't have anything to discuss with you.

_RICHMOND: Come-on Bella, aren't you tired of behaving this way? You don't love me yet you come home crying when you see me with another lady.what do you really want? .

_BELLA:......

_RICHMOND: I'm going to wait for you at Mahima restaurant situated at Elig Essono this Evening at 7pm. If you don't show up I will assume that you don't love me and I promise that I won't bother you anymore.

Ater saying so ,he left and Bella went back inside thinking about what he had just said.
