The next morning, Imba wakes Carter and Laura up with a small knock on their bedroom door. They get up and get dressed. Carter opens the door and says yes? Imba says get dressed, Carissa has done gotten Willow up and fed her. You will have guest arrive in a few minutes. Carter smiles and says, um OK. About ten minutes later, they are all sitting in the living room, as Carter starts breakfast in the kitchen. A knock at the door stirs the silence. Laura goes to open the door, and sees Carter's mother and father standing at the door. Laura says" Oh, come in. Carter calls out, who is it? Laura looked over her shoulder as they came in and sat in the living room. She yelled out," Maybe you should come look for yourself". Carter, now curious, walks out of the kitchen and into the dining room. Catching a glimpse of his mother, he says,"is that my mother?" Smiling at Carter, Tonya says "hello son". Carter walks out of the kitchen and into the living room to see his parents standing there smiling at him. Carter says how did you guys know our address? Imba smiles at Carter and says," really? Is that even a question at this point?" Carter walks over to Tonya and Carl and gives them small gestured hugs. He says well, welcome, we are about to have breakfast in a few minutes. Why don't you guys take a tour of the home? Laura says, come, I will show you guys around. Carter walks back to the kitchen to finish cooking breakfast. Imba walks to the kitchen behind him. He smiles and says"it sure smells good in here". I didn't know you could cook Carter. Carter smiles and says, well I am trying. They both laugh. Imba says your parents know the whole situation that went down. We have kept them informed per their request. They know what Sarah did. They just wanted to be here to support you and I think it is a good idea to have your family surrounding you. Carter says well, even though it's not a proud moment of my life having to deal with a wife that used to be dead but is not. Imba smiles and says, respectfully, she is. Carter looks at Imba with concern. She is? Imba said," Well, yes. My guards made sure she would not be around anymore to bother you guys. Carter says he feels dizzy and has to sit down. He grabs the counter and sits at a bar stool. Imba says, did you not want us to take care of it? Carter says I knew what you meant. It's just hard trying to process everything that has happened. Imba looks at Carter and says, if we didn't, she would have kept trying to come back, and if she had come back, it would have happened regardless. Carter says," I think you are right. I know that deep down, I'm just trying to cope. No disrespect to you or your family. I love your daughter dearly. It is just crazy that the wife I used to have wasn't even the woman I thought I was married to. I once loved a person that didn't even exist. Interrupting the conversation, Laura walks in and says is breakfast ready yet? Carter jumps up and says almost, we are awaiting the biscuits in the oven. Laura smiles and says thank goodness, I'm starving. Carter smiles and says, our surprise also included a big beautiful wooden table in our dining room. Would you want to set the table for us? Laura sighs and says, I suppose I could". Carter smiles back at her as he leans down to open the oven door, and pulls a pan of buttered biscuits. He sets them on the counter. Carter starts to carry a big plate of bacon and sausages to the table. He walks in to see Laura laying down the last plate on the placemats. Carter sets down the food and makes a few trips, bringing platters of food to the table. Carter yells out "breakfast is ready". Willow starts to cry and Carissa makes her way into the dining room holding her and feeds her a bottle. Everyone sits at the table and starts to eat. Tonya looks over at Carter and says, son, I love the house." I think it fits you and your family. Carter smiles and says thank you, mom. Carissa lays Willow down into a small crib in the living room. She comes back and sits down and says, now that her little ears are out of the room. Imba and I have one last surprise. Carter and Laura looked at each other. Carter spouts out "more surprises".? Laura looks over at Carter and back at Carissa. Carissa says we will all give it a look after we finish breakfast. Laura says "go look at it"? Is it something physical? Imba says" Oh yes, you will see. I have a hunch, though you may not like it. Laura stared back and forth at Carissa and Imba. She finally says, um OK. Everyone catches up on talking for around an hour. Everyone is done eating and now, and Carter has cleaned up the dining room. Carissa says now that we are all done, let's all take a walk. Tonya and Carl ask if they are invited as well. Carissa says," Well Yes, it's a surprise for you guys too." Carl, now wondering what's going on, says, well, let's go. Laura wraps Willow up in a bundle and lays her in her stroller. They all go outside and Carissa says OK, here is the deal, we are going to a house down the street. Carter and Laura look at each other and sigh in confusion. Imba says let's go. I have things to show everyone. They all take a stroll down to a white house, with big blue shutters and a big porch across the front. Imba says okay, let's go in and Carissa and I will explain everything.
