Episode 4 Alexander’s POV

740 Words
I’m laying in my room staring at the ceiling, thinking about the dream I just had. It was a memory, but I always recall it in my dreams. I was young, maybe 10 at the time at the lake watching the waterfall and I hear sounds, other children playing. I hide because I know that if it is wolves, they may not like my presence there. I was right it is too young pups roughly the same age as me playing and they decide to swim. One boy one girl, I hear the girl called the boy Jack and I hear the boy call the girl Lia. The lake falls right on the border of the pack and the coven so even though we have our own sides to the lake, I still hide, I don’t really get along with other children, my age. They seem to be having fun, they decide to swim and the girl Lia seems to have trouble. She starts to panic in the water, I’m not sure why “Can she not swim? Why would you get in the water if you can’t swim?” I think to myself. The boy, Jack I’ve come to learn as his name tells Lia “I’m going to go get help!!” And he leaves, while she’s struggling to stay above water. I look back at her and in a blink of an eye she’s gone under, and I don’t even think twice about diving in. I swim to her, she’s still frantically trying to swim to the top, but in her panic, she’s not getting anywhere as she continues to get lower. Then as I get closer, I see her eyes close and she starts to jolt, and I knew I had a matter of seconds to get her back to the top. I wrap one hand around her wrist and use the force to catapult her towards the surface and I follow after her to make sure she breaches the water. I drag her to the shore and hold my ear to her mouth and nose. She’s not breathing. I start pushing on her chest, something I’ve seen in movies and later learned is called heart compressions and in a matter of moments what felt like forever but I’m sure it was seconds she starts gurgling so I turn her on her side and all the water spews out and she lets out a grown. I think she muttered thank you but I wasn’t sure. She falls unconscious but she’s breathing and that’s what matters I sit there a moment and look at her, she’s so beautiful and I want to leave but everything in me says to stay and make sure she’s all right, to protect her until help arrives, but I know that the boy Jack, whenever he comes back with help that if they see a vampire with an unconscious shewolf the worst will be predicted and I can’t let that happen. Once I hear them getting closer I give her one more once over and go hide on the covens side of the territory and watch as I can only assume her father comes running up to her body on the ground and scoops one hand under her head and lifts her into the sitting up position “Dahlia darling are you alright!?” Dahlia. That was her name, it’s beautiful. “Jack, did you get her to the shore?” Her father asks, “Uh yes then I came to get you because I can’t carry her.” Jack answers and it takes everything in me not to let out a growl of disapproval. “Thank you for saving my daughter Jack, you have no idea how grateful I am.” Dalia is starting to come to as she’s sitting up and her father is talking over her to Jack. I can see her open her eyes from where I am, and by the gods, she is so beautiful her eyes are the perfect shade of brown, I will never forget them. “Come darling let’s get you home and cleaned up.” Dahlias father says to her. Dahlia just nods in agreement as her father helps her to her feet. I’m still watching as they’re walking away, and I noticed she is looking around, almost as if she knows. Does she know? That someone else saved her and not Jack?
