Episode 9 Dahlias POV

I sit backseat in my own mind and watch Lily play with Alexander?.. “Lily what are you doing” I ask her curiously. “I just want to see something..” she replies. “Uhhhh like what? If he’s going to sink his teeth into our throat!?” “No Dahlia, he doesn’t give me that vibe. I was weary at first but he seems genuinely nice. I’m curious about him I’m not sure why.” I’m so shocked I didnt even realize I didn’t reply to her. I just continue to watch her chase him around and him mock his surrender. We’ve made our way up stream until it came to where we had to part ways. He looked behind him, I’m assuming at the path he has to take home.
“Will I see you again?” He asks. Lily barks, “I’ll take that as a yes!” He says almost excitedly. “Maybe tomorrow?” Tomorrow is Sunday so I should be able to come, the meeting isn’t until Monday.. wait what am I doing!? “Oh we’re coming back tomorrow Dahlia” Lily says to me interrupting my thoughts. Lily barks and wags her tale at his question about tomorrow. “I’ll take that as a yes as well!” He says smiling. He has a charming smile, it reaches his eyes, it seems almost genuine. “Goodbye Lily..” and Lily barks as Alexander waves goodbye walking in the opposite direction of us. “Lily what are you doing!?” “I know, I know. But I can’t help it, I feel this need to be around him.” “Well we’ll have to be careful tomorrow, today was an accident but we have to be sure we’re alone tomorrow when we head to the lake. Even though the Clan and the Pack are allies I doubt dad will be less then pleased to find out we’ve been secretly meeting with a vampire.” I say to Lily. “You’re right Dahlia, we’ll be extra careful tomorrow!” She responded excitedly no doubt because we’ll be seeing Alexander again.
We approach my clothes that’s I’ve hidden. “We have to hurry up and get to our room and rinse of any kind of scent we may have on us, I don’t want anyone to know right now. Not even Jack.” “Copy that boss.” Lily responds mockingly. I shift back and throw my clothes back on and make my way through the front door, I peak my head in before going through to make sure no one is in the ln the room or the foyer “Coast is clear.” Lily whispers in my head. I tip toe to the stairs and I hear voice coming from the kitchen “s**t!” I whisper. I fly up the stairs so fast and hide behind the wall. It’s Jack and his dad, I can’t make out exactly what they’re saying but the Beta does not look happy, he has a hand gripping the back of Jacks neck not enough to cause paid but I can tell Jack is not comfortable.. “I already knew he was tense but I didn’t realize how bad.” I whisper in my mind to Lily. “Can you hear what they’re saying?” Lily says. “I can try but he’s whispering so low, I think he knows someone might be close but I’ll try.” I try to concentrate on the words that the Beta is saying and then I hear it “You better reject or I’ll..” he cuts himself off as he lifts his nose.” “f**k he can smell me, I knew I should have went straight to my shower.” I tip toe down the hall careful to avoid the creaky boards on the floor as I hear him make his way up the stairs to see where the smell is coming from. I make it to the door finally and hurry and duck into my room before he can clear the top of the stairs.
I let out a breath of relief as I lay onto my bed and stair up at the ceiling. Today was.. eventful to say the least. “You can say that again.” Lily says to me, “wonder what the Beta was talking about.” I say to Lily “Well he said reject so I’m wondering if Jack found his mate” Lily responds “oh my god you’re right Lily but I wonder why he wants Jack to reject her.. or him. Honestly I don’t know.” I say to her, “I guess we’ll just have to find out.” She says “Well let’s wait and see if Jack comes up to us about it first. And we’ll go from there.” “Aye aye boss!” Lily responds playfully, “alright let’s get washed up and in bed, I’m exhausted.” I say aloud to myself and Lily
