Bruce did not try to hide it anymore.

You already felt the difference. Maya has never been able to handle me, and as for John… he is my son, but that does not mean he is right for you.”
I stayed quiet, my fingers tightening slightly at my sides as I listened without interrupting.
He continued, calm and certain, like there was no other outcome. “Let him do whatever he wants outside. It does not concern you anymore. What matters are the children. He may fail as a mate, but he is still their father. He can guide them, train them, and raise them properly.”
