Chapter 19

1157 Words

NINETEEN Josh pulled the chair out for Angie and scooted her to the table. They were seated at the exact table in the same restaurant as before. Again, they were given preferential treatment when they arrived. The server brought two menus and left after taking their drink order. “What are you in the mood for?” Josh asked as he scanned the menu. “Oysters? That sounds good to me.” “Ugh, squishy and slimy.” Josh scowled. “Not when fried.” “I still don’t like them.” “Hmm, your loss. They’re delicious.” Angie didn’t care about his preferences. She loved oysters. The server brought Angie a glass of iced tea and Josh a martini. “The lady will have the fried oysters,” Josh said. “Slaw?” he asked of her. “Yes, please, slaw with the fries.” “I’ll have the grouper, baked potato and slaw.”
