“Is this an engagement ring, Selena?” He asked, his voice cold and sharp. I was taken aback by his question. ‘What does it have to do with him?’ I ignored his question, not finding it necessary to answer and said, “If there is nothing else, I will get back to my work” I turned on my heels to leave his office, to get away from his furious gaze. I could barely open the door and step out of the office, when a strong masculine arm came forward, and slammed the door shut with a loud bang, making me flinch in my place. “Turn around” he commanded, his voice low, laced with dangerous edge. His warm breath fanning against the skin on my nape, sending shivers down my spine. ‘How did he move so fast?’ One moment he was sitting behind his desk and in the next, he was standing barely few centimeters away from me. When I didn’t make any efforts to move, he grabbed my wrist and in a swift motion, he turned me around and twisted my arm behind my back, pulling me impossibly closer to himself. I gasped in surprise when my front collided with his hard masculine chest, my heartbeat accelerating to an abnormal speed due to his close proximity. “What… what are you doing Mr. Stone? Let me go!” I demanded, struggling to get out of his hold, only for him to tighten it further making my efforts futile. “I asked you something, Selena. And you know it very well that I hate repeating myself. So tell me, is that an engagement ring? Are you engaged to someone? Who is he?” his voice dropped an octave, his orbs turning darker when he asked that last question. I stopped struggling and looked into his eyes in defiance. I have had enough of this. “And how is it any of your business, Mr. Stone? Why do you care?” I gritted out. “Don’t you dare talk to me in that tone Selena. And answer the fu**ing question!” His voice turned icy cold contrasting his burning gaze. I looked away from him, not being able to look into his eyes anymore. Ignoring the warning laced in his tone, I once again demanded “Let me go!” But I guess, it didn’t sit well with him. Suddenly, he grasped my chin roughly using his free hand and forced me to look back into his blazing eyes. His jaw clenched tight. “How many times have I told you to look at me when I am talking to you?” He snapped. My own anger flared. I glared at him, hating his controlling behaviour. “And how many times have I told you that my personal life is none of your business?” I shouted. “It is my Fu**ing business! So stop testing my patience or else I will make sure you regret it” he threatened. I know that Aric stone never says empty words. So just to get away from him I said in anger, without realizing what I am saying, “Alright, I’ll answer. So listen Mr. Stone. Yes, it is an engagement ring. Yes I am engaged. And yes, I am in love with him. Did you hear me? I love hi…” I couldn’t finish my sentence as he smashed his dominating lips over mine. My eyes widened and instinctively I tried pushing him away, but he didn’t let go. His kiss was harsh, possessive. As if he was punishing me for saying those words. He pulled away after what felt like eternity, leaving me breathless and uttered his next words staring right into my eyes, causing my heart to loudly hammer against my chest, “You can’t be with anyone else Selena because you are mine.” “Only mine”
