(Grace) Jax and I waited outside for Theo to return. It was getting late, nearly dusk. We sat on the steps of the packhouse. When we saw them up ahead we both jumped to our feet. Leo went straight to the stables but Theo came up to us, reins in hand. "They are both ok," he told us, knowing that's what we were waiting for. Jax sighed in relief, running his hands through his hair. I felt tears prick my eyes. "Was he better? Did he look healed?" I asked with a shaky voice. Theo nodded, "Completely. He was sparring when I arrived." I laughed with relief, covering my mouth with my hand. Theo opened his bag and handed each of us a letter. Jax also received an origami crane in return.
