POV- 1st person (Spade and Leroy)
Setting- Castle/ ballroom

God I hate that nickname... Princess. And she knows I hate it to. Everytime I would go to a meeting with father and mother she would use it and watch how I would get annoyed.
"I can't tell you." I finally say.
"Why not?" She persisted.
"Because it would- nevermind. Im going back." I say as I try to go back inside. I was stopped because she grabbed my wrist and spun me back around. She finished her drink in her hand and crushed the glass with one hand. That's how strong she is. She is the strongest of the three.
"Tell. me. now." She demanded.
"Why do you care!?" I argued.
"Because I care about you. I might not show it but I know about your situation with your father." She said.
I was taken aback by her words. "S-she knows? This is bad..." I thought. "How much do you know?" I asked skeptically.
"I know that he treats your mother and you like objects. No, more like machines that should go by his programing." She said.
"So everything huh?"
"Yes."
There was silence between us.
"Are you going to tell?" I asked shakily.
"Of course not. You would be in trouble. What would be the benefit in that?"
I was about to answer when a voice caught my attention.
"Hey Spade!" Ben shouted as he ran towards me.
"Ah Ben. Did you get the thing done?" I asked.
"Yep! We are all ready to go!" He said excitedly.
"Good." I say.
"What is ready to go?" Rose questions.
I turn to her. "Nothing. Let's go Ben." I say as I spin back around to head inside. Ben follows close behind. Leaving Rose outside alone with her suspicions.
"Wow. This place is fancy." Ben says.
"Yeah. I don't like it. Now I gotta keep my distance from Rose." I say as I speedily walk off.
"Why?" Ben asks.
"Because she is suspicious of me and you. And we can't afford to be caught right now. We still have the whole night left." I explain.
"Oh okay, got it." He says as we walk up the stairs.
Halfway up the stairs, I spot mother and father going down them. Mother looks horrified. Though only I can see it. And father looks beyond angry.
I stop and turn around to observe them. Ben notices this.
"What's wrong?" He asks worriedly.
"We have to go." I say.
"But-"
"Now!" I demand as I run down the step's after them. Father and mother do not have a reason to leave this party. So she must have upset him.
"Wait for me!" Ben shouts as he runs after me.
Mother and father are already way ahead of us. As me and Ben are running through the ball room and heading towards the door we spot Rose coming back in. We run past her. She looks back, But she doesn't get involved.
As soon as we get back to the main castle, we burst through the door panting for air. I frantically look around and run up stairs. Ben is close behind me.
Once I get upstairs I take a right and bust down mother's bedroom door.
"Get away from her!" I shout.
Father has his hand raised and mother is on the floor blocking her face. Father looks back at me.
"Stay out of this!" He demands.
My eyes faintly glint white as I walk towards him grabbing his hand and pushing him away. And with great force might I add. He was using his canceling powers to make sure mother couldn't fight back.
The white Spade on my cheek pulses slightly.
"You better stay away from her. Or better yet away from us!" I yell as a powerful aura is released and forces father to the ground.
"Heh, looks like the little brat is finally unlocking her power's." He says as he gets up from the ground. He walks towards me. I brace for impact but he walks past me instead.
"Let's see where that gets you." I hear him whisper as he leaves the room.
The Spade on my cheek stops pulsing and I rush to mother's aid, helping her off of the ground.
"Are you alright?" I ask distraught.
Mother doesn't respond. She just hugs he tightly. And of course I hug her back. But after a while I pull away from the hug and cup her face with my hands.
"Listen to me, Me and Ben are escaping this place. At midnight tonight. Will you join us?" I ask with hopeful eyes.
Her eyes widen. But her expression quickly darkens again as she shakes her head.
I am stunned. "But you will be free! We can finally be together and live happily!" I say to try and convince her.
"My dearest, I can't. If I do he will only get madder and go after us. Someone will have to stay to keep him occupied and take the blame." She explains sounding heart broken.
Her words break my heart, but sadly she is right. I knew this but I wanted so badly to ignore it. All I could do was just hug her and cry in her arms.
This was the first time in a while that I was able to talk to mother like this in a while. And sadly this might just be the last time. Just then mother lifted my head up.
"Sweetheart, listen to me. I will always be with you. Okay? No matter how far I will be with you." She said in the most comforting voice. I nodded.
Ben appeared behind us in the doorway. "It's time to go Spade."
"Already? I ask grudgingly while I wipe my tears."
"If you want to not get caught then yes." He said.
I turned back to my mother and hugged her one last time.
"Be safe." She warned.
"I will."
And then I walk out of her bedroom and close the door.
"Let me at least change into something else. I hate this dress." I complained as I was walking into my closet.
"Uh right. That would be beneficial." He said.
"I looked at your notebook and gathered everything we need as well." Ben said.
I walked out of the closet. I wore a pastel red short sleeve crop top with a green bandana resting on my neck. I had on armor on my shoulders and brown fingerless gloves. And I had jean gray shorts on with grey boots on that went just below my knees.
I saw two backpacks on my bed. I picked up one of them. It had only one strap so I slung in across my shoulder.
"I have a request." Ben said.
"Sure what is-" I stopped when I saw him. I guess I haven't been to focused on him because I just now noticed that he was wearing a guard suit. Armor and all with a sword in the holster on his waist.
"Can I be your guard?" He asked.
It's not like he wasn't trained. He actually planned to be my guard and went through all the proper training. But my father made him become my butler instead.
I smiled. "Of course." I said joyfully.
Then I heard a figure coming up the stairs. I look towards Ben and we both nodded.

"Don't think I've forgotten about you, you-" Father stood speechless as I was getting ready to climb out the window.
We stared at each other for a few seconds. Then I got an idea to rub it in his face.
"Hey Ben!" I yelled. "Get ready to catch me!"
I looked back at father. "Adios." As my grip loosened on the rope and I fell backwards.
He ran after me, but I was already gone. And I dragged the rope down with me. Luckily Ben caught me in his arms bridal style and set me on my horse. I looked back at the castle. My home that I hated dearly is now behind me as me and Ben rode off to freedom.

Leroy's POV (Spades father)
I watched as my mistake of a daughter rode off with her friend. Though I was beyond angry. An evil smirk spread across my face as I walked out of her room, closing the window.
I walked to my wife, Ezira's room and shut the door behind me. She was now sitting on her bed.
"So they left?" She asked. But I knew she already had the answer.
"Yeah, and she just had to rub it in to. I can't believe I just got betrayed by my own, beloved daughter." I said in a slightly sarcastic voice.
Ezira stood up. "Hah, you have to be joking with me. You don't love her. You never loved any of us." She said.
"Don't go there." I growled.
"Why shouldn't I? I just love when things don't go your way..." She teased.
"I can just go report this and have her found in a matter of days. Just you wait." I say angrily as I started to walk out.
"Oh but you can't. If you do questions will be raining down on you. And I can just confess to what you have been doing to us. And you will be executed!" She said manically. and sounding excited, It was not like her.
"Don't forget your place you-"
time slowed before I could finish my sentence. And then stopped completely.
"She really stopped time that old hag!" I thought as she used her telekinesis to move me effortlessly out of the room and slammed the door.
Time resumed and I was furious at this point. She is right though. This really will come down on me if I have her searched for. I sighed and went for the exit.
"Just you wait little brat, I will find you and I WILL keep my place on the thrown!" I said to myself as I exited the castle.
