Liam's pov
I had been away for three days, and all my thoughts were consumed by Maxine. I couldn't understand why I missed her so much. I had never missed any of my mates before. This feeling was strange and I didn't like it. I couldn't stay any longer, so I decided to go back home ahead of the scheduled time.
Gathering my men, we prepared to leave. Within thirty minutes, we were already at the pack house. As we arrived, my eyes caught sight of Maxine outside, in my garden. Anger boiled within me. What was she doing there? Did she have no respect?
I approached the guards with fury. "Who instructed Maxine to go to my garden?" I demanded.
One of the guards, a young man named Derek, stammered, "She just went there, Alpha. She's been visiting since you left."
