“What time is it?” Ronan asked, squirming in his seat. He looked around the small, but elegantly appointed waiting room in search of a clock. “It’s two minutes later than the last time you asked. Just calm down. They’ll be out in a minute.” Felix wound his fingers into Ronan’s, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “I hate waitin’.” Ronan ran his thumb across the back of Felix’s hand before taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly. “Thanks for comin’ with me.” “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” “Actually, you would have missed it if Swansby hadn’t set up this meetin’ for today. Tomorrow this time you’ll be on a plane somewhere over the Atlantic.” Ronan looked suddenly away. “It’s okay,” Felix said softly. “I’ll be back.” Ronan sniffed and turned back to Felix, his eyes liquid emotion. “
