WHITE WALKER PACK
Ronan stood before the traitor, a towering figure in the dimly lit hall. His cold eyes bore down on the man who knelt at his feet, trembling. The scent of fear and anticipation was thick in the air. Around them, Ronan’s pack members stood in silence, watching their Alpha with a mix of respect and dread, wondering what he'd do to the traitor who had dared stole from the pack. This was a rare moment—Ronan dispensing justice himself.
"You betrayed the pack" Ronan said, his voice low and steady. He took a step closer, the weight of his words pressing down like a physical force. "There’s only one punishment for that."
The man’s pleas began, desperate and broken. "Alpha, please—"
But Ronan didn’t listen. His hand tightened into a fist, and the room seemed to grow colder, as if the temperature had dropped by sheer force of his will. The traitor’s voice faltered, silenced by the gravity of the moment.
As Ronan raised his hand to deliver the final blow, he froze. His eyes widened slightly, and for the briefest of moments, the men gathered around him exchanged uncertain glances. Ronan's entire body stilled, a ripple of something unspoken running through him.
"Alpha?" one of his enforcers, standing nearby, asked cautiously. "What is it?"
Ronan’s focus was elsewhere now, his eyes distant, as though listening to something no one else could hear. His heartbeat quickened, the sensation flooding his mind.
"I can feel her” he murmured, the words slipping from his lips as if he didn’t quite believe them himself.
The room fell silent.
"Who?" the enforcer asked, unsure of what Ronan meant. "Who do you feel?"
Ronan’s fists unclenched, the tension in his body shifting from one of rage to something far more urgent. His breathing became deeper, his chest rising and falling heavily. "I can feel her," he repeated, louder this time. "She’s close."
With a sudden, decisive movement, Ronan turned away from the traitor without another glance, leaving him crumpled on the ground. He strode toward the door, his steps quickening as the realization sank in.
"Alpha!" the enforcer called after him, confused by the abrupt shift.
Ronan didn’t answer. He pushed the doors open, stepping out into the evening air.
His senses were sharper than ever, the pull unmistakable now. She was out there—alive.
Without another word, Ronan vanished into the darkness, leaving the hall behind him in stunned silence.

LYRA
I kept walking, my footsteps growing slower with every step. Trying to retrace my path was useless. Everything around me looked the same, and the more I tried to focus, the more confused I became. The sky had already darkened, and the once-thrilling adventure now felt like a mistake. Fear started to creep into my chest.
It was getting late, and I had no idea where I was. Worse still, I didn’t know the name of the street, so asking anyone for help was out of the question. The excitement that had filled me earlier was gone, replaced by cold dread. Maybe I shouldn't have gone out.
But truthfully, I didn’t regret it. For the first time in my life, I had felt the world beyond those fences, tasted the air of freedom. And if my foster parents were going to make a fuss about it, then so be it. I wasn’t going to trade the few moments of few moments or anything.
But first, I had to get home. I needed to get home.
I kept walking, hoping somehow I’d find a way back. Every sound made me jump—the rustle of leaves, the distant hum of a car, even my own footsteps felt unnervingly loud.
The streets that once filled with laughter and chatter, were now almost deserted. No sight of the kids chasing each other, no couples sipping tea at cozy street cafés.
There were still a few people around, just not as many as before. I noticed a lady standing close to a guy, the guy leaning in towards the girl. In the next moment, his lips were on hers. They were…
I knew this word. I’d read about it.
Kissing.
Yes, that was it. They were kissing, and with so much intensity that I felt my face flush. I quickly looked away, embarrassed for intruding on something so intimate.
I hurried past them, my eyes fixed on the path ahead. Soon, I spotted the toy shop I had passed earlier in the day. Relief washed over me. I smiled to myself.
I was getting somewhere
Suddenly, a figure appeared before me, out of nowhere.
I stopped dead in my tracks.
His back was turned to me, but the way he stood—completely still—made my breath hitch. My heart pounded in my chest as I instinctively slowed down, taking in his tall, imposing frame. There was something unnerving about him, the aura he exuded felt... terrifying dangerous.
Was this the beast Rose had talked about?
No, that’s ridiculous. He’s human... right?
I needed to leave. Now.
But my instincts screamed at me to leave. To run.I turned, my feet itching to flee, but I hadn’t taken more than a few steps when a voice, low and cold, sliced through the air.
Swallowing hard, I turned back, my feet eager to carry me away. But I hadn’t taken more than a few steps when I heard his voice, low and chilling, behind me.
"Finally, I found you."
I froze. Every muscle in my body locked as if his words had turned me to stone. Slowly, I turned, my eyes wide with fear. All I saw were a pair of glowing green eyes locking onto me like a predator to its prey. They held me captive, filling me with a terror so deep it stole my breath.
He took a step toward me, his presence so overwhelming it was suffocating. My legs trembled, my body screamed for me to run, but I couldn’t. I was rooted to the spot, completely paralyzed by those eyes.
And then, everything went black.
