Brenden deeped his hands into his pocket brought out his drugs that he uses to treat his heart disease.

Stephanie looked at the drug and asked "what drug is that?".

Brenden paused for 3 seconds,fear flickered across his face as was tensed because if he tells Stephanie what he is suffering from she might run away from him.

"Tell me, what is it.You can trust me"Stephanie's gaze was on him.

He took a deep breath and broke silence "I have a heart disease and my doctor told me that if I do this operation I might not survive it"

"heart disease?"eyes narrowed then her cheek widened in hope as she said "you will survive it,and I will forever be with you"she used her hands to cup his cheeks.

Brendan's eyes felt lighter,there was hope in his eyes.

"Thanks"he said.

"I will be with you on the day of operation.I will not leave you"Stephanie spoke with passion in her heart.she rubs her hand at the back of his head.

"You are a woman Stephanie"he said.

"yeah you can say that again"she replied

"Can we go on a date this weekend"brendan slowly reached for her hands and held it tightly

She chuckled and said "yes,but we will be going to the restaurant "

"Alright"he took a deep breath and continued "Almost everyone in this company now says good things about you.I am so proud of you"

Her cheeks widened as she tried to humble herself.

"I know,I will make the company great"

"Alright,I will increase your salary to 250 thousand dollars next month"Brendan spoke.

Stephanie's lips parted in shock but no words came out.Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Thank you darling,I will be going now"She said.

As Stephanie was about walking out of the office she heard the sound of foot steps running away from the door.Someone have been hearing all their conversations.

"Who is that"Stephanie shouted.

But the person already ran away.

"Stephanie ,who is that?"Brendan asked.

"I don't know,I only heard the footsteps of someone running away"she replied.

"Someone is watching us,we need to be careful "Brenden replied.

At Stephanie's former plastic manufacturing company,Melinda , Juliet, Jennifer,James and Matthew had already began to rule.Things has become very bad.

Workers are treated so badly.Salaries were delayed, workers were sacked at any little mistake and some company funds began to get missed.

That afternoon a staff Fred began to complain"I miss Stephanie,she was the best manager".

Alfred replied "yes you are right.Stephanie is a qualified leader but these ones are thief's"his eye brow furrowed.

"They are so inexperienced in what they do especially James and Melinda"another staff named jolie spoke.

"Off course it won't surprise you because they stole the company"Fred replied.

As they were discussing in the company corridor Melinda and James opened one of the door as they were about leaving for the day.

They have overhead all the discussions and it has already sounded like a blow in their chest.

As the workers turned in shock they saw it was Melinda and James.They suddenly became quiet.

"Good afternoon ma" everyone greeted James.

"Good afternoon ma"they also greeted Melinda.

But Melinda and James looked at them as hypocrites.

"You all should get back to work and anyone I see here gossipping again will be sacked"James eyes widened in anger.

"Okay sir ",They all replied and left.

That evening at Jennifer's house, everyone came to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary.Juliet,James ,Sharon ,Melinda and Melinda's sisters where all present.

Food have been prepared,drinks were ready and a beautiful cake was made.Everyone was in the mood to party.

Suddenly a call came in . Juliet's phone rang.She dipped her hand into her bag and brought out the phone.

When she saw it was Layla her cheek widened.She thought Layla was calling for the anniversary.But it was something different.

She picked the call and Layla said

"you need to see how Stephanie and Brendan are becoming closer in their relationship".

Her smile disappeared.Her heart beat increased.

"I don't think Brendan can continue with this nonsense.my daughter Sharon a child for him"Juliet's eye brow furrowed.

"Yes he can't, Brendan has promised to buy Stephanie a mansion and a car"Layla spoke as jealousy thightened her chest.

As Juliet heard that her heart tore apart.It was like a slap on her face.

"A..a mansion and a car?"Juliet stammered as her heart beat was fast.Her hands trembled as she grow in panick.

"Yes,you have to do something really fast because if you don't then stephanie will gain power and come against us"Layla spoke.

"Brendan will surely be stopped.I just spoke to his mom,she said she has always wanted Brendan to marry Sharon"Juliet replied.

"That's good,that means his mom is supporting us"Lyla spoke.

"Yes,his mom is my childhood friend and she so much loved my daughters"his cheek widened but mixed with pain.

"Wow,this is a good news"

"Yes,his mom and his dad were the ones that insisted that Brendan should marry Sharon but Brendan refused"Juliet replied.

"What?,does that mean that Brendan has finally rejected Sharon?". Layla spoke.

"No, Brendan only did that because his parents have traveled.When they come back he will Rethink and make the right choice by force"Juliet replied.

Juliet and Melinda wants Sharon to go back to date Brendan because they want his money and they don't want Stephanie to gain power through Brendan.

Brenden's mom seraphina loved Sharon from childhood and she was deceived by Juliet that Stephanie is evil and was born out of wedlock from another man not from princely who is her late billionaire father

This will make it difficult for Brendan to decide who he will marry.

"Alright,we must stop them because when I peeped through their office door they were hugging each other "Layla spoke.

"Okay"Juliet ended the call has held her phone tightly in anger.

Juliet's hand trembled in jealousy as the last sentence of Layla played in her mind.Traces of sadness were on her face and everyone around her were worried.

"Mom,what is it?"Melinda asked.

"Brenden want to buy her a car and a mansion "Juliet replied.

Silence grew rapidly in the room.James now realize that Stephanie is a woman of high quality and beauty.

Melinda realized that despite her wicked plans In stealing all what belongs to Stephanie,Stephanie is still better than her.It hurt her deeply.

"I can't let this happen mom,I will go to his company with my son Benjamin to let him know that the child belongs to him"Sharon replied.

Sharon's word hurt pained Melinda because Melinda also loved Brendan in the past.She wished she is still dating him.

"I can't believe the same Stephanie that was droven out of this house is about to get what is get a car and a mansion"Jennifer spoke.

"Please I want to get to my room to think"James was gradually being consumed in deep regret as now realized how important Stephanie is.

His eye brow furrowed deeply in pain.

The woman who he could not see her value, worth and quality is now noticed by a billionaire that is a friend to him in the past.

As James was going Melinda said to James "where are you going,we are supposed to be celebrating "

"Leave me alone "he replied.

James entered the room and shut the door behind him.

Melinda took a deep breath as sadness and depression flickered across hher face.

Juliet said "what is it Melinda"

"James attitude is gradually changing"she paused and continued "Ever since he heard that Stephanie is dating Brendan he hardly give me attention"Melinda replied.

Sharon spoke"don't worry he will come back to his sense when I take back Brendan from Stephanie".

Clara said"you are right, Stephanie can't get away with this".

That same evening James was gradually drowning him regret as he was secretly looking at Stephanie's recent picture on social media as she was standing beside Brendan.Brendan was hugging her.Stephanie's beauty have manifested like diamond.

The way Brendan was holding Stephanie by her waist and smiling at her was making James to gradually bleed in pain.The Romantic posture revealed that they were about to kiss each other.

He typed a message to Stephanie"I am sorry for my past mistakes.You are my sunshine.come back to me"

Suddenly Stephanie replied with a devastating text message that was about to tear James apart.
