The baby was dead and His body was very cold and stiff.She knew he was dead but she couldn't accept the reality.
"Harrison wake up it's mom.Open your eyes"Tears streamed down her eyes as she cries aloud.
She brought the baby close to her chest to feel the baby's presence.James came to the room but he looked at her and the baby but he said nothing because he thinks that its not his baby.
Stephanie carried the lifeless baby to the sitting room and said to Melinda."I don't know who killed this baby but you will all regret it".
Beads of sweat was running down her face.suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Mom is that you".James walked towards the door .
As he was about to open the door Stephanie began to feel nervous.Her heart raced deeply as she was expecting the angry from her mother in-law who have been deceived with wrong information about her.
James open the door and Jennifer stepped in with her wrinkled face.Her eyes was already glowing in confusion and anger against Stephanie.
Everyone greeted as she looked at everyone.Then her eyes landed on Stephanie after looking at everyone.
"What are you still doing here you gold digger .you deceived my son by lieing to him that Harrison is his baby"Jennifer spoke as she squeezed her face,her wrinkles became more obvious.
"I am not a gold digger,that baby belongs to James"Stephanie fired back.
"You lier,I heard that your mom met your late father's lawyer illegally in private to give you properties"Jennifer replied.
"Where did you get all these information from?"Stephanie spoke as her eye brow furrowed in anger.
Jennifer spoke"I was told your mom was having an affair with your late father's lawyer named Kennedy "
"That is a lie,my mom can never do that .Someone is manipulating all this"she continued to weep.
"That is the truth Steph"Melinda spoke.
"I suspect it's you and your mom that is responsible for these manipulations.i will take revenge and you will all regret it".
She dropped the dead baby went to her room,packed her bags and left the house.She shut the door behind her with a great force.
That evening she entered the car and drove to her friend's place.When she got to the place the door opened before she knocked.
"What happened to you,you look so sad"Valerie her friend spoke as her eyes brows drew towards each other.
Stephanie remained quiet until she broke silence"please can I come in?,I am tired"
"Of course you can come in"Valerie spoke as her cheek widened.
Inside the apartment Stephanie sat down as Valerie packed Stephanie's belongings to her room.That night Stephanie told Valerie everything that happened.
That night Valerie comforted her by consoling her.She said "so,sorry for what happened.Another man will come"
Thank you"she replied.
"Steph,Melinda and her family are evil.They have always hated you in the past"
"Yes, that's because my father princely loved me more than all of them"Stephanie replied.
"Why"her eye brow furrowed deeply in curiosity.
"It is because I was responsible, caring, hardworking and so intelligent that I was the best student in my school"Stephanie replied.
"That is so good of you"
"Yes,my good attitude made my father to always buy gift for only me and he was willing to give me most of his properties"
"This sounds good,but your father would have loved others too"Valerie spoke.
"He couldn't because they stole millions of dollars and he lost many contracts because some of my stepmothers daughters were prostitutes"
"Hmm,I can imagine the pain your father would have gone through"her lips curved upwards in pity for Stephanie's Father.
"Because of them my father almost died of high blood pressure and he was taken to the hospital several times"Tears welled her eyes as she remembered the sorrows.
"Sorry for everything that happened "

"Today I heard rumors that your mom reachel gave birth to you from another man "
"That's a lie.Melinda and her family are trying to use this lie to make the public think that all my father's properties belongs to them"Stephanie spoke as her face hardened in anger
"They are evil.I will help you to get that those stolen properties"Valerie replied.
"Thank you"
"Let me prepare rice for you to eat because I know you will be tired by now". Valerie spoke.
"Alright"
At 9:45pm after dinner stephanie woke up after sleeping to ward off depression.She put on a red top and a black skirt. She drove her car to a restaurant that is close to the house.
When she got to the restaurant she went to a corner that is isolated from people.A waitress approached her and she order a bottle of champagne.When it was served she poured some in a glass cup and her hand wrapped tightly around the glass cup.
She begin to think about James and his wife family.She taught about the death of her son.Tears slowly began to run down her cheek.she tightened her hands on the table in pain.
She wished she was squeezing the life of those that Betrayed her.
"Why are you crying"
A voice broke from behind.something was about to change.She was about to encounter somebody she never knew before.
