After the first few SEAL of Protection books came out, I started to get questions from readers if “Jess,” from Aces Bar and Grill, was going to get a story. I always smiled, proud that the little teasers of Jessyka I’d put in the other books had done their job . . . made readers interested in her story. Aces Bar and GrillI wanted to have a heroine who was disabled, but it didn’t faze her. She didn’t talk about it, it didn’t slow her down . . . it was just a part of who she was and a normal part of her life. I’ve seen comments from readers who complained that each story in the series was the “same”. I’ve tried really hard to make them different, but I am a fan of the damsel in distress . . . and while most of my heroines are tough women in their own right, they all need a hand in the end.
