4 Sam and Sherry sat on the airy front porch, soaking up the sights and sounds that stretched in front of them. For the last forty years, this had been their favorite spot to unwind with a glass of wine and each other. There had been good times and bad, worrying about their children, the crops, or their business. But through it all, they had the strength from each other to weather the storms. Taking a deep breath, Sherry broached the subject that was the elephant on the porch. “Have you thought about what you’re going to say to the kids?” Sam’s wine glass hovered near his lips.
