Chapter 20 : The Pursuit of Kevin

  Although currently Kevin is in greater danger. But aside from that, Kevin feels grateful because Doctor Rengga and Oliver have managed to escape the chase of those monsters, so now just one thing he has to worry about, namely saving himself. Kevin must try to escape or rather defeat all the Gargoyles who are chasing his vehicle, while driving occasionally Kevin watches the rearview mirror to count the number of monsters that are keep chasing him, they are all approximately 40 Gargoyle monsters.

 And Most of them ran behind Kevin's car, but there were also those who jumped from tree to tree, and there were also those who chased by creeping on the cliff beside Kevin's vehicle, they will attacked Kevin’s car from various directions, so Kevin had to think of a best plan to deal with this situation.

 Kevin continued to accelerate and increase the speed of his car so he could continue to keep his distance from the enemies, because he realized that he could not possibly defeat 40 gargoyles at once, because if Kevin stopped driving then he would immediately be swarmed by the Gargoyles and he would be overwhelmed by them. If only currently Kevin's body was in prime condition then he would have been able to fight those Gargoyles even with his bare hands, but currently Kevin's body was not good and his stamina was decreasing, as a result of the battle against Roschi this afternoon.

 But even in such circumstances, he will still try to get away, because he certainly doesn't want to die as food for the Gargoyles. While driving the car, Kevin took shooting at the Gargoyles who were running beside his car, Kevin shot on the left and right, so one by one of those Gargoyles were hit by gunshot then getting wounded and died lying on the road.

 However, the other Gargoyles took a troublesome initiative for Kevin, when they started jumping and landing on the car Kevin was driving. By Using their claws, they can stick to the body of the car and try to reach the driver's door, so they can scratch and injure Kevin's body. Even among the Gargoyles, there were many perched on the roof of the car, and they tried to make a hole in the roof so that they could break through and slashing Kevin's head.

 As a result of the attack by those Gargoyles, the car Kevin was driving had lost balance and its speed was disturbed. But Kevin continued try hard to get rid of those Gargoyles who were stuck in his car by shooting at them, and at the same time Kevin also had to be able to control the speed of his car, so it was not easy for him to be able to overcome this very dangerous situation. Due to the large number of Gargoyles who landed and gave shocks on the car, that Kevin was driving became difficult to control and kept winding even on straight roads.

 Kevin shot the Gargoyles on the car’s roof, so they fell one by one, then Kevin even had to elbow some of the Gargoyles who were trying to bite his hand from the window. There were even Gargoyles who managed to enter through the back door, so Kevin had to be busy struggling against the Gargoyles both from inside and outside. Kevin was really bothered by the attack from those monsters.

 They are really determined to pursue and attack Kevin in various ways. This is because those Gargoyles really obey the orders from their master (Namely Roschi). Who really wants Kevin's death, so no matter what happens, the ferocious Gargoyles will continue try to kill Kevin even though one by one of them have to die in this attempt. Meanwhile, Kevin didn't just stand still either, in black van car that was speeding along the deserted mountain road, Kevin continued to struggle and fight against them very hard.

 Altough the Gargoyles who were jumping on top of the tree as well as from the top of the cliff also joined the party, they started jumping and perching on Kevin's car in a row, so the car repeatedly got shaking and made Kevin's resistance even more disturbed. And it also caused Kevin to receive several bites and scratches from those Gargoyles who keep pushed into his car.

 Then, as the situation became increasingly precarious and dangerous, Kevin decided to do something crazy. Kevin immediately took quick action, without thinking he swerved sideways, so the car which was being swarmed by the Gargoyles suddenly turned then crashed and broke through the road divider, so that car instantly falling from the cliff.

 The car plunged from the top of the mountainous area, then rolled against the steep and hard rocks, causing the car to suffer serious damage. Along with the fall of the car, the Gargoyles who were swarmed it also fell into the ravine and then they were all thrown and scattered in various directions. Their bodies were scattered hitting the rocks very hard. Among them, those experiencing heads crushed, even their bodies were crushed and destroyed instantly, because of the great impact they received when they fell into a steep ravine full of rocks.

 And a few moments later, the car, which was in a state of disrepair and was in disarray, finally stopped rolling and lay under a dark valley, the car stopped falling upside down and all of its components were badly damaged. After the atmosphere in that place had been stirred by the sound of loud crashes, now instantly the atmosphere in the place turned back to being quiet and silent.

 Then suddenly, the car, which was lying in an upside down condition, began to emit flames that started from tiny to big. And before the car exploded, Kevin, who survived the terrible incident, immediately got out of the car with great difficulty. Then Kevin's body condition, which was full of wounds and fatigue, caused him to walk while feel dizzy and wobbled.

 Kevin walked away from the car that was about to explode, then while he was walking, beside Kevin there was a Gargoyle who still alive but his body was caught in a big rock. Because the Gargoyle couldn't pounce on Kevin, he suddenly roared at Kevin who was walking while enduring the pain.

 "ROOOOOOAAAARRR !!!!!"

 However, without feeling shocked, Kevin just shot that Gargoyle right in the head to shreds, and he just kept walking on the rocky area without bothering anything else. Whereas behind him, the black van he had been using, now exploded and shattered. But without stopping, Kevin continued to walk even though he was in a wobbly condition, he continued to walk in no direction because his head felt dizzy.

 Long story short, it was late at night, and by this time Kevin had arrived near a village area. Then because he was tired after walking quite a long way by just on foot, he decided to take a break in that area. However, because he didn't want to disturb the villagers, Kevin secretly entered a barn owned by the residents, which at that time was so quiet because all the villagers were fast asleep.

 Kevin lay on the straw while enduring the pain all over his body. His breathing was heavy and he felt faint after a full day of fighting many gargoyles. But he is happy because he has managed to escape from the chase of Roschi's subordinates and now his situation is safe. So Kevin could close his eyes and sleep in the barn.

 Meanwhile, in another place, Roschi who is in human form, is currently standing on a cliff, while looking at the natural scenery around her, right now Roschi calls someone by telephone.

 "Hello Roschi." Say the voice coming from her phone.

 "Yes, hello Boss." Apparently the one Roschi was calling is Edgar, who was the Boss of the Holy Grail group.

 "Why are you calling me at these nights? By the way, have you killed Kevin and Oliver? "

 "Not yet Boss ... But I got something better." Roschi replied.

 "What is that?" Edgar asked again.

 "I managed to find NeoGen's research facility, and in there I got lots of rare monsters that we can use as our troops."

 “Waaahhh !! Is it true?!!" Edgar sounded excited and enthusiastic.

 "Yes Boss, and now my men are sending those monsters to our main base."

 “Hmm, good, good. Now I'll ho over there to check it out ... Oh yeah, then what about Kevin and Oliver? "

 “Don't worry Boss, I will definitely finish them off soon. I've locked Kevin's scent, and right now it looks like he's staying somewhere not far from where I am. Even though I have sent some of my men to hunt him down, but I won't be calm if I haven't seen his corpse with my own eyes. "

 "Good, you can always be relied on ... Make sure they are in extreme pain when you kill them."

 "All right Boss." Then Roschi hung up the phone call.

 While being accompanied by 5 Gargoyles, Roschi jumped off the high cliff, then she transformed into Gargoyle form. And after she landed on the ground, she and Those Gargoyles immediately ran to where Kevin currently is. Because Roschi still has an important task, which is to destroy the Holy Grail’s enemies named Kevin and Oliver, so she will not let her target get away easily.
