Chapter 27 : Mister Ivan

 At night, at his house. Kevin is packing all the things he is going to take to Dr. Rengga's base, because Kevin decided that he would stay there for a while until the threat from the monster apocalypse had disappeared, or maybe he would stay there for a little longer, but it seems that if he’s living in a monster hunter base is indeed the right decision, because he still didn't know what would happen next, the important thing now is he could continue his fight as a monster slayer.

 After finishing packing, Kevin carried two large bags that he carried on his back, then Kevin walked to his mother's room to say goodbye, and when he opened the door of that room, Kevin was hesitant because he saw his mother sleeping with her back facing to the door. Therefore, Kevin, who didn't want to bother his mother, immediately closed the door and then he left the house. Even though at that time the mother was still awake and her eyes were shedding tears, but there was nothing she could do to prevent her child from leaving, so currwntly the mother felt very sad.

 "Mom, I'm sorry ... But I have to obey father's wishes." Said Kevin while standing in front of his house.

 After that Kevin put all his belongings into the car, and finally he drive the car to go to Dr. Rengga base. And there he and his friends, namely Oliver, Christa, and Redbud, will start their real fight to prevent the monster apocalypse from happening. No matter how tough the problems they have to face, and no matter how tough the enemy they had to fight, they will not back down, and they will continue to fight to the death.

 Meanwhile, move elsewhere. Currently, Mr. Ivan, the owner of the NeoGen company, is in an expensive sports car that is driving somewhere. The car was driving in a quiet and beautiful coastal area, with rows of coconut trees accompanying it along the way.

 Some time later, the car driven by Mr. Ivan finally arrived at its destination, it entered an area that was heavily guarded by NeoGen Soldiers, and the area was also pleasant by a high electric fence.  The building was quite similar to the research building in the Glichmond Mountain area, but this one was smaller and not as big as the one on Mount Glichmond.  Accompanied by two guards, Mr. Ivan entered the facility building, where he was greeted by employees and the high table person of that place. Long story short, Mr. Ivan continued to walk through various rooms, and now he was accompanied by more people, including two scientists who also worked there, they all walked until they finally arrived in front of an iron door which had two panels on the left and right. Then the two scientists immediately stood on each of the panels while taking out their ID cards, and simultaneously they rubbed the ID card on those panel.

 After that, the iron door began to open, so Mr. Ivan and his entourage could enter the room behind the iron door. They look amazed when they enter there, because in the room there is something that has been well guarded for years by NeoGen, namely none other than an inter-dimensional portal supported by a special machine, so its existence can remain for a long time.

 The room was very wide, and looked like a cave, because the rocks around the dimensional portal were still intact and not renovated at all, while on the ceiling were mounted various weapons that pointed directly at the portal, so if there were monsters that came out of the portal then various weapon will start firing in a lot of ways, whether it's just drugged, netted, or killed outright. Because if the type of monster that came out was a dangerous one then the officers in the operator's room would immediately take the initiative to kill it, according to the safety procedures of this place.

 While walking, Mr. Ivan rubbed the stone wall in the room, then he said.

 "Hmm, great, you guys keep the humidity of this place well."

 "Ready Sir." Said one scientist.

 Then Mr. Ivan walked in front of the portal that was glowing and rotating without stopping, while his subordinates who saw it immediately felt worried as he said. "Sir, you better not get too close to that portal." Said one scientist.

 Meanwhile Ivan just smiled as he stood staring at the dimensional portal in front of him. He was happy because the portal he was checking was still in good condition, actually at this time he was doing routine inspections to the research sites belonging to NeoGen which had inter-dimensional portals inside it, he wanted to check and make sure that all dimensional portals were locked by NeoGen company is still intact and maintained until now.

 Long story short, then Mr. Ivan continued his journey to another research place. Ivan checks one by one NeoGen's property which is actually illegal property, but its whereabouts have been kept secret so the government or other parties will not be able to sniff out it.

 Although the existence of dimensional portals is a dangerous matter and the use of portal holding devices has long been prohibited by the government. But it seems Ivan doesn't care about it, all this time it turns out that he has been secretly using a portal holding device to keep opening inter-dimensional portals for a long time, so that until now the illegal activities of locking portals can still be done and is not known by the government, including. Doctor Rengga.

 But actually, behind it all, Ivan has a personal plan, namely the instability and destruction that will be caused by the existence of the portals. Because if the portals are left open for a long time, then according to Alan Icardi's prediction, that this world and another world will collide with each other and then an enormous destruction will occur. But that's what Ivan wanted.

 Not only that, it turns out that Ivan also has connection to Rudolf, so far he has hidden and funded Rudolf's research somewhere. So Rudolf can create a stronger human soldier, especially when combined with the power of monsters, and those entire soldiers can be controlled at will by the owner. It seems that the soldiers will be used to escort and help Mr. Ivan when the day of apocalypse happen, so that one day he can become the ruler of this world.

 Who is the real Mr. Ivan? And why would he want to do that? But he certainly did have the desire to become a ruler, and he had the resources to do so.

 Meanwhile at Rudolf's research site which is located in a cave on a rainforest area. Currently Rudolf is working on a project, namely modifying the dying body of Cross.

 In a dark bunker room, Rudolf was carrying out surgical procedures on Cross's body lying on a patient bed in a state of unconsciousness. Rudolf looked very calm while doing his job, he carried out the operation process for two days and two nights. The activities he does include examining blood samples using a microscope, mixing various serums, injecting monster DNA, cutting off Cross's body parts, and sewing them back together.

 Long story short, the operation was now complete, and Cross's entire body appeared to be wrapped in bandages, so Cross could only remain lying there in a stiff state. Then when Cross regained consciousness and opened his eyes, he looked at every corner of the dark room where he currently is. Cross was feeling a little uneasy and he wanted to get out of bed, but he couldn't, because it seemed like he still couldn't move all of his limbs, so he could only growl in annoyance.
