Chapter 16 : The Past Savior

  Long story short, the Cross group of vehicles, still driving in the Glichmond mountain area, then they all entered the Glichmond mountain climbing route, but from that route they still continued until their vehicle entered a quieter area and rarely traveled by any people, they entered in a dense forest area around the slopes of the mountain. Meanwhile, without them knowing it, behind them Kevin was still trying to follow them without being caught, he could always keep his distance so that his presence was not noticed by the group vehicles leading by Cross.

 After a while, the group of vehicles arrived at an area that was blocked by iron fence with a height of about 2.5 meters, there was even a sign that read, “Private Property! Do not enter!" In fact, there is also a guard post, so not everyone can pass and enter the area.

 The group of cars led by Cross arrived at the guard post checkpoint, then after the guard officer had confirmed Cross's identity, the officer immediately let the vehicle group to enter and continue their journey.  Meanwhile, the Cross vehicle group arrived at a building which was quite large in size, with a height of 4 floors. The building is located on the slopes of mountain area and is surrounded by many trees, several armed Soldiers are seen patrolling on every corner of the building, then several Soldiers who guarding the front door immediately greeted the arrival of Cross's group there, they saluted and invited Cross with his men to come in.

 Without a doubt, this building is the site of NeoGen's research and experimentation facility, where various Products belonging to the NeoGen Company were developed, even this place also running as a provider of weapons for the monster hhunter squad. Many scientists there are in charge of researching various types of monsters, especially monsters that come out of the dimensional rift. So in this building there are lots of lab rooms, and machines that work incessantly producing various kinds of itens.

 Cross walked with his men through every room in the building to find the whereabouts of Doctor Rengga, whose identity was listed on the card in Cross's hand. He wanted to find out what was the relationship between Doctor Rengga and Oliver? Why is the NeoGen scientist's ID card can be found in Oliver's cupboard? These were the questions that were currently spinning in Cross's head, so it aroused great curiosity for him.

 After asking about the doctor's whereabouts to one of the employees who were there, Cross and his men rushed upstairs, because according to current information he get, currently Doctor Rengga is in the test subject room.

 In the test subject room, Doctor Rengga, together with some of his fellow scientists, were researching purple blood samples, which were obtained from a new monster species, they looked very serious in doing their job to research and create new things for the NeoGen company. When they were doing these activities, suddenly they were surprised by the arrival of several Soldiers in black uniforms who violently opened the door, then the Soldiers led by Cross walked over until close enough to the figure of Doctor Rengga.

 The figure of Doctor Rengga is a middle-aged man, with a thin body posture, and slightly messy hair, he is wearing a white lab coat and glasses with thick lenses. When approached by Cross, Doctor Rengga, who was shocked, could only be stunned and his whole body felt tense, because when he saw Cross's face that was so threatening, he became afraid that Cross would mess up his work, or maybe hurt him.

 "Cr- Cross, why did you suddenly come here?" Asked the Doctor, who seemed to already know each other.

 "Hello Doctor, I would like to ask you, an explanation of this." Said Cross while showing the card that  showed the identity of the doctor.

 "Is that the NeoGen Scientist's ID?"

 "Yes, and this card is yours."

 “O- oh, that's an old version of a card, I already got a new one ... I- I've lost that card a long time ago. Where did you find it by the way? " Asked Doctor Rengga.

 "That's what intrigued me Doctor, because I found it in an apartment belonging to a Gargoyle, and how can that Gargoyle have your ID?"

 "I- that, I don't know either." Doctor Rengga answered, while feeling nervous.

 “Hmm, then I want to investigate it further. Now, with the authority that Mr. Ivan has given to me, I will search the archives room in this facility. ” Cross said as he walked away.

 "Wait a minute. Cross, you can't do that, you can't. " Said Doctor Rengga as he pursued and tried to stop Cross.

 But Cross immediately turned his head while looking at him with sharp eyes, and he said. "Why can't I do it? Is there anything you are hiding, Doctor? "

 "N- no, but ..."

 Before the doctor finished his sentence, suddenly Cross gave orders to his men.

 "You two take Doctor Rengga to his room, and lock him there ... Don't let him out until I've finished checking the archives room."

 "Yes Captain." Said the two soldiers, who immediately took Doctor Rengga's hand and led him away from there.

 "Hey, hey. Wait a minute. You can't do this to me! ” Said Doctor Rengga while rebelling, but his resistance was in vain.

 Meanwhile, the other scientists in the room could only remain silent because they didn't understand what was going on between Cross and Doctor Rengga, they were only junior scientists who did not know about the matter of Doctor Rengga's identity card, because it was the incident that had happened a long time ago.

 Now the situation inside the research facility was not conducive, all employees could not carry out their work in peace due to interference from the monster hunter Soldiers who came and searched all over the place. They try to search and find evidence about the relationship between Doctor Rengga and Oliver, if Cross has obtained the evidence, then Doctor Rengga's position as a senior scientist at the NeoGen Company will surely be revoked, and he will be labeled as a traitor, then who knows what bad things will be given by NeoGen to him.

 Cross's investigation began with finding out the date of the identity card was made, then he could conclude in what year Doctor Rengga was actively using the card, and when he lost it. All information about it is available full in the archive room, and currently Cross is trying to gather all the information about the incident in that year from computer data as well as from important documents that are available there.

 At the same time, Kevin and Oliver have managed to infiltrate the facility. They passed the high fence by jumping over it, then they sneaked past several guards, for next they tried to find an opening to get into the building, and when they found an unattended air vent, they could use it to get inside the building without getting caught.

 So now they are both is in their destination. A few moments later, Kevin and Oliver are currently in the janitor's room, they both disguise themselves by wearing janitor's clothes, after that they walk down every hallway in the building while carrying the cleaning equipment, such as brooms, duster, buckets, rags, and others.

 Their disguises were perfect, even their existence was not noticed by other people inside the building. Kevin and Oliver who are the main targets for the monster hunter Soldiers, can walk past the soldiers without being recognized, so they can both search for Doctor Rengga whereabouts freely.

 Until finally they both found a door that was being guarded by two Soldiers on the outside, and there was a Doctor Rengga name board displayed on the door. So Kevin and Oliver could conclude that the room behind the door was Doctor Rengga's office, then Kevin and Oliver decided to check the room.

 Coupled with the presence of two Soldiers standing outside the door, Kevin and Oliver were even more convinced that something was being guarded by them, namely none other than Doctor Rengga. The two Soldiers would not let Doctor Rengga do anything or go anywhere. They will guard the Doctor until their Captain has finished investigating the archives.

 When Kevin and Oliver walked past the two Soldiers, firstly their whereabouts were ignored and unrecognized, because the two Soldiers thought that Kevin and Oliver were just ordinary janitors. Then Kevin and Oliver stopped right by the door that was being guarded, then they both asked permission to enter the room.

 Kevin said. "Excuse me sir, we want to clean this room." Oliver said to one of the Soldiers who were on guard.

 "Sorry, currently no one is allowed into this room." Said the Soldier sternly.

 "Owh, sorry but we really have to go in there."

 "No, you can't!" The soldier snapped.

 Then suddenly Oliver and Kevin walked over to the two Soldiers while giving a threatening look, which made the two Soldiers immediately realize that they were in danger.

 Meanwhile, in the room, Doctor Rengga, who was sitting relax on a chair, was shocked because he suddenly heard a commotion from outside. The sounds he heard were punches and kicks that were thrown at the two Soldiers who were on guard, so now the two Soldiers were already battered and unconscious.

 A few moments later, the door to Doctor Rengga's room suddenly opened and someone began to show himself and entered the room, followed by another person behind him. The figures of the two person are Kevin and Oliver, who are still wearing janitor uniforms. At that instant, Doctor Rengga, who was sitting in a state of shock, was startled when he saw the figure of Oliver's face who had just entered the room, he did not expect that a familiar figure would come to see him today. Vice versa for Oliver, he is also a little surprised, because finally he could meet again with the figure of the doctor who had saves him on the past.
