Chapter Five

Immediately, I yanked my towel off the bathroom door and wrapped it around my body “Just a second Haze” I yelled. Dylan ran his hand through his hair without much of an expression on his face. I ran towards the door and picked my sleep wear that was on the floor. “Hide” I whisper-yelled “Go in the bathroom, quick. For f***s sake, don't just stand there” still whispering. Dylan got in the bathroom and I stood by the sink and splashed water all over my body so my body looked wet like I just got out of the shower. And as I was about to walk out of the bathroom, Dylan spanked my ass very softly. “Lord Jesus” I thought to myself Took a deep breath, walked over to the door and opened the door for Hazel to come in. “Sorry about that Haze, I just got out of the shower Come on in. What's up, why'd you come all the way? And by this time too? Girl it's supposed to be your “wedding night” what the hell are you doing in my room?” raising my eyebrow teasing her playfully. “Ugh don't remind me” she said dramatically walking towards the bed. “What happened?” I chuckled nervously “You won't even believe me if I told you. I literally passed out the moment we got in the room. Like the moment my head touched the pillow, I was gone. I woke up a few minutes ago, say 20 minutes and Dylan wasn't there” I tried to keep my expression normal. “Well did you try calling him?” “I did, but he left his phone in the room. Waited a few minutes if he would show up but he didn't” “Oh..” I cleared my throat quietly “He's probably around the hotel somewhere. Maybe he went to get some air as his newly wedded wife fell asleep on their wedding night” I teased her. “Ugh please stop, now I feel bad hearing you say it like that” I laughed “Come on, I'm messing with you. He probably just wanted you to get some rest. You slept almost half of the ride here. He understands how tired you are. He'll turn up.” “And actually, I thought maybe he came here or y'all were together or something” My eyes shined wide open out of shock. “Here? Why.. Why would he come here?” I scoffed nervously. “I don't know, you're probably the only one he knows in this hotel. Maybe you both took a walk around the hotel or something I don't know I was going to call you but I thought to come down here first.” “It's your wedding night Hazel. Why would I want to “take a walk” with your husband?” “Well I don't know.. I may or may not have asked him to try to get to know you so you both could get along And as I slept off, I thought he came here” “Well he didn't. He hasn't been here” My throat tightened as I said that. I just looked my sister flat in the face and lied to her. And that made my body crawl in a very unsettling way. “Well damn, I was just checking. You don't have to be all defensive and s**t, chill out. So now my husband has gone missing on our wedding night, isn't that just great?” she said dramatically. “Ugh you're such a drama queen. Nobody is being defensive please, and no your husband hasn't gone “missing” Christ! Alright you know what, why don't we talk a walk around and look for him together? What do you say?” “Yeah yeah whatever” Already, let me just get into my pj's okay Mrs Carter?” I chuckled and she rolled her eyes at me. And that made us both laugh. I got in my pj's and we left the room, forgetting my phone in the room on purpose and signal Dylan to leave. We got to the end of the hallway, about to hit the corner “Oh s**t!” “What?” “I forgot my phone in the room. Oh my God, I'll be right let me just go grab it” Of course, typical Sophie, always forgetting something.” “Oh shut up, just wait here” as I ran back to my room. I got back in, grabbed my phone and opened the bathroom door. “Get out when I leave the room” I said to Dylan. I didn't look at him. And that was the only thing I said to him before I stormed out. *** A few minutes later, Hazel's phone rang while we were in the hotel lobby. It was Dylan They talked for a while and asked that we go to their hotel room instead as Dylan was already there. I let out a sigh of relief. “Babe, what happened? where did you go I was worried” Hazel said as we walked in the room with Dylan sitting by the end of the bed with his phone He got up “I'm sorry baby, you were asleep, I didn't want to wake you up. You looked really tired. Giving her a peck on her lips I lowered my eyes immediately. Feeling slightly jealous seeing the both of them together like that. But I tried to keep a normal expression on my face. “Oh hi Sophie” he looked at me. Extending his hand toward me. “It's nice to see you again” “Yes.. Hi Dylan” with a fake smile on my face stretching my hand out to his. But I yanked my hands out immediately. Hazel laughed softly beside him, completely obviously “You two are acting like strangers at a business meeting it's so funny to see. I forced out a fake laugh. “Well, I should probably get going and leave you both to get some rest” “Yeah yeah absolutely”, Dylan said very sharply I gave Hazel a hug and gave her a peck on the cheek. And as I was about walking out of the room, Hazel's phone buzzed. “Sophie?” “Yeah?” I turned around facing her. “What the fuck is this?” her tone completely changed, pointing her phone at me. My heart dropped. I had no idea what was going to come out of her mouth next.
