Quin didn’t come back home after he left yesterday, I guess now that the cat was out of the bag he wasn’t trying to impress me anymore. I treated my cut on my cheek, moved my hair to cover it and I started to prepare breakfast for Nick, who needed to go to school despite everything that happened. I guess it’s time I used the money I have been saving up. I woke him up and got him ready for school, as I dropped him off and bent to kiss him, my hair moved and he saw the cut. “What happened to you mommy?” He asked gently touching the bruise. “It’s nothing sweetie. Just a little accident that mommy had.” I kissed him the forehead, “you better get going you don’t want to be late now, do you?” He shook his head and ran off. But I could tell my answer wasn’t enough for his little curious mind. B
