"What?" I exclaimed when Lucy told me the price of the dress I was wearing. "I can't afford that. Do you have any cheaper dresses?"
"Um… I'm not sure, but I could check them out for you if you want," she offered with a sad smile.
"What's the problem, dear? I thought you loved the dress?" Rose asked as she saw Lucy walking away from me.
"Lucy just told me the price of the dress, and I don't think I can afford it, so she offered to go find a cheaper one with a similar design," I explained as I smoothed out the dress I was wearing. If I damage it in the slightest, I'll have to sell a body part to repay it, I thought. "I better go get out of this dress."
