Two worlds(ii)

Ethan was leaving the school building and walking towards his car where his best friend and driver were waiting for him.

“Bro what the f**k?Did you take a scenic route or something? I’ve been waiting all day” Colton asked looking frustrated

“Bro I did not spend that much that,you always exaggerate” Ethan replied

Colton looked at him in disbelief “ You think I exaggerate?me? I can’t believe you’d say something like that to me your best friend of 12 years” Colton replied pretending to cry

“Okay fine I’m sorry, you’re such a baby,I can’t even deal with you right now” Ethan said as he rolled his eyes

“I’m a really good friend so I accept your apology”

“Thank you your majesty” Ethan replied sarcastically

“Anyways Bianca cornered me after class today again. She wanted to know why you’ve been ignoring her calls”

Ethan sighed with an annoyed face “Because I don’t have anything to say to her”

“You do know your parents are going to force this weird arranged marriage thing eventually right?” Colton asked

“I know” Colton replied with an irritated expression “I just don’t…I don’t want my parents to dictate who I should and shouldn’t date,they literally control everything in my life can’t I just have this one thing?”

“Yeah I feel you” Colton replied

There was a painfully long awkward silence in the car.

“Dude you’ve been out of it today are you good?” Colton asked

“Yeah I just..I met this girl today” Ethan replied

“You’re telling me a girl’s got you acting like this?Bro I’ve known you for 12 years and I’ve never seen you act crazy over a girl” Colton replied looking surprised

“I know but this girl she’s just different”

“Different how?” Colton asked

“She just didn’t care about my status or my money; she was blunt and real you know!” Ethan replied

“ Wow someone who doesn’t worship Ethan Whitmore..I love her already” Colton replied while laughing

“Yeah but I don’t think she likes me..like at all”

“Why do you say it like it’s unbelievable? It’s really not that hard to not like you, I only started liking you last year” Colton replied

“f**k off you know you love me” Ethan replied laughing

The car pulled up to the Whitmore Estate and Colton was already unbuckling his seat belt before the car even parked

“I’m going to raid your pantry” Colton said while running towards the house

“Yeah of course you are” Ethan replied laughing

“Welcome home Mr Whitmore” Ethan’s nanny greeted as he walked into his house,Ethan nodded his head as a sign of greeting and gave her his bag

“You get my red Chanel bag and get my box from the closet and put it in the car ” Ethan’s mum says to one of the maids as she walks into the living room

“Mum? When did you get back” Ethan calls out

“Oh my Baby, I missed you so much” Ethan’s mum says as she gives him a kiss on the cheek

“I missed you too mum, I’m so glad you’re back home” Ethan replied

“About that, um.. Baby I have a fashion show in Italy that I can’t miss but it’s just for a few days”

“You’re leaving again? But you just got here” Ethan asks looking disappointed

“Yes I know Baby but I can’t mi..” Ethan’s mum replied before she got interrupted by Colton

“Aunty Evelyn I didn’t know you were back” Colton asks

“Oh Colton sweetheart” she says as she pulls him in for a hug “oh my you’ve grown way taller and handsome”

“See this is why I love you, Ethan never compliments me”

“Don’t get your hopes up she’s leaving again” Ethan informs Colton “I’m not even surprised anymore”

“Ethan baby you know it’s not like that” Ethan’s mum replies

“What about dad? when is he getting back?” Ethan asks

“I don’t know baby ,he’s stuck In London for a while,

“Typical” Ethan replied with a plain expression

Colton came out of the kitchen with a pack of Doritos In his hands “Dude I gotta head out,my mum’s making me have dinner with her boyfriend’s family”

“And you’re actually going?” Ethan asked with a surprised look

“Bro she threatened to cut off my Amex” Colton replied rolling his eyes “Anyways I have to go, I’ll see you tomorrow yeah?” Colton said before turning to Ethan’s mum and giving her a hug “Bye aunty.. oh could you please bring one of those massage things you brought from Paris last time?”

“No problem sweetheart” Ethan’s mum replied “Bye Baby”

Ethan’s mum turned to him “Darling I know you’re mad right now but you have to..”

“Ma’am the car is ready” the driver interrupted Ethan’s mum

“Okay I’ll be out soon” Ethan’s mum said to the driver

“ Baby I have to go now I have a flight to catch but I promise I’m going to make it up you okay?” She said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek

“Yeah okay” Ethan replied after hearing the front door slam shut

One of the maids approached Ethan “Mr Whitmore what would you like for dinner”

“I’m not hungry” Ethan replied as he walked to his to room and slammed the door shut

The house went quiet again after Colton and his mum left,Ethan wandered off to his room and laid on his bed. He couldn’t get Shannon’s eye out of his head so he went online to search for every shade of brown to know her exact eye color.

“f**k” Ethan said to himself “what is wrong me”

Ethan stood up from his bed and went to his vanity. He opened one of the drawers and brought out a white powdered like substance poured it onto a metal plate and snorted it. He looked into the mirror disappointed in himself beginning whispering to him “Just for tonight,after tonight I’m going to stop” after a while he went to lay on his bed looking up at the ceiling

“f**k” he whispered to himself
