After Bo Yi, there were no accidents along the way, and the carriage of Haiyin's family safely arrived in the city of Anastasia. In contrast to the tranquility outside the city, the interior of Anastasia was particularly bustling. The main road was busy with constant traffic, and the shops on both sides were brightly lit, welcoming and sending off guests continuously. "Is this Anastasia City?" Haiyin leaned against the carriage window, looking at the scene outside, her eyes filled with astonishment. The night in Anastasia City was very different from what she had imagined. Prosperity was certain, given its proximity to the City of Andrei, but it was too peaceful and prosperous. If she hadn't known what kind of world this was, she would have thought it was just an ordinary European town. Several well-dressed women walked out of a jewelry store, and Haiyin was sure those women were from the Luo Zong. Beautiful Androsi passed by them without showing any strangeness, and even more, two of the women even flirtatiously threw glances at the passing Androsi. So crazy! Haiyin felt her worldview was about to collapse. Where were the Androsi's fangs? Weren't they afraid? "What's so surprising?" Xiya moved closer to Haiyin, leaning her head against hers to look at the pretty women. "They are just seeking a better life." "But," Haiyin wanted to disagree with her aunt's words but couldn't refute, her voice becoming small, "once transformed, they can't live under the sunlight anymore and will become bloodthirsty." "Sister is right, our little Haiyin can't stay in the West Sea Forest forever," Xiya hugged Haiyin's head into her arms. "Dear, you're only seeing one side." Haiyin frowned, pursing her lips, feeling complicated. "After being transformed, they can't face the sun god Apollo directly, but they are no longer weak Luo Zong people. They transform into noble and powerful Androsi, possessing long life," this reminded her of that lowly slave, Xiya looked sadly, "Moreover, times have changed." In the past, Androsi, when feeding, would indulge in their bloodthirsty nature, often causing the death of Luo Zong people due to excessive blood loss. Now it's different, Androsi, for the sake of long-term survival, rarely cause the death of Luo Zong people unless under special circumstances. However, it's not so easy for Luo Zong people to be transformed. Androsi are naturally proud, and in their eyes, Luo Zong people are just food, no different from pigs and dogs. How could Androsi, who consider themselves noble, willingly transform Luo Zong people into one of them? So unless particularly liked, Androsi are not willing to take out their blood to transform Luo Zong people, and those transformed Luo Zong people also can't ascend to heaven in one step. Among the Androsi groups, those who are transformed later find it hard to integrate. "Let's get off and walk," Merlin thought it was more than right to bring her daughter out this time. The two old horses stopped by the side, and the three of them got out of the carriage, leaving WuHeiHei in the carriage. As soon as they got off the carriage, they attracted many glances. Merlin's red lips slightly raised, finding it interesting, and looked towards the jewelry store not far away, then moved towards it. Haiyin and Xiya immediately followed. The Luo Zong women were still talking in front of the jewelry store and had not left yet. Merlin and her party passed by them without attracting attention; they continued discussing the banquet at the lord's mansion of Anastasia City. "Have you heard? Count Alexander Sterling has arrived, and my father will take me and my sister to the banquet tomorrow," a woman with brown hair tied back and wearing a small silver hat said shyly, "Count Alexander Sterling will be present." "I'll also go tomorrow," a woman with loose brown hair said proudly, "This time, the lord of Locky City has specially sent an invitation to our Mullin family." "It sounds like only your Mullin family received the invitation," the tallest woman said disdainfully, "Since the Mullin family is so powerful, do you know why Count Alexander Sterling came to Anastasia City this time?" Without waiting for a response, she boarded the stopped carriage and left first. Xiya chuckled softly, looking down at Haiyin, who was eavesdropping, "Do you understand now? Luo Zong people are not as afraid of Androsi as you imagined." "One man's poison, another's sweet," Haiyin sighed lightly, "Not all Luo Zong people are so naive," entering the shop, which was still crowded, almost everyone was looking at jewelry. Count Alexander Sterling really has extraordinary charm. "Welcome, beautiful ladies," a tall, white-bearded clerk greeted them, "May I help you with something?" Haiyin looked at her mother; this place didn't seem suitable for the three of them, did it? "Show me the tiaras suitable for her to wear," Merlin pulled Haiyin closer, gently stroking her golden curls. "Of course, esteemed madam, please wait a moment." Watching the clerk leave, Haiyin tugged at her mother's skirt. Though she didn't speak, her eyes clearly expressed reluctance; they had no money and shouldn't pretend to be rich. Unfortunately, Merlin didn't care at all, and Xiya was even worse. She was already looking at a bracelet with several gemstones, making Haiyin's heart uneasy. They weren't planning to rob the place, were they? The white-bearded clerk was efficient, soon returning from the shop's inner room with a box. Haiyin looked at his smiling face and felt a strong sense of helplessness. As an excellent clerk, he couldn't distinguish that the three standing before him were penniless? "Esteemed madam, please take a look at this princess crown," the white-bearded clerk opened the box, revealing a small and exquisite obsidian tiara lying on black silk cloth. Haiyin originally only wanted to glance at it, but she underestimated herself; her gaze fixed on the small crown and couldn't move away. Merlin placed the crown on Haiyin's head, "Lift your face and let mother see," Haiyin did as told and looked up at her mother. "Not bad," Merlin's porcelain fingers touched the obsidian at the crown's center, showing regret, "It's just a pity that this gem isn't red," her Haiyin was born with black hair, and red suited her best. Sss... This remark caused a series of gasps in the shop, with a few subtly sizing up Haiyin and her companions, trying to guess their identity. The white-bearded clerk was also stunned. In the Kingdom of Andrei, red symbolized nobility, usually only worn by natural-born Androsi. But it was clear from their eye color that these three were not natural-born Androsi. Haiyin didn't know what her mother was up to, but she was almost sure she wasn't planning to pay. She reached to remove the crown from her head to return it to the white-bearded man but was stopped by her mother, "Keep it on, go wait outside for us." Was she being sent away? Haiyin's heart sank. She looked at her aunt, who was still examining the bracelet, and then at her mother's expression. Biting her lip, she took out the two gold coins her father had given her and handed them to her mother, "I'll wait outside for you. Please be quick." Merlin, holding the small bag, chuckled, "Go ahead." Haiyin looked back three steps at a time as she left the shop, hoping there wouldn't be any trouble. Standing outside, she looked into the shop, seeing her mother talking to the white-bearded man, who looked obviously startled. Haiyin fixed her gaze on him, trying to discern more details, but a strange scent suddenly assailed her. Heh, she really did run into every possible misfortune. Her neck was grabbed by a cold claw, and the scenery before her eyes blurred as she was whisked away from Anastasia City in just a few seconds. Even so, Haiyin instinctively held her head, fearing the loss of the precious item on her head. The weeds scratched her face, causing pain. After about two minutes, Haiyin couldn't help but speak up, "Noble sir, could you please stop for a rest? If we keep running, I won't be able to find my way back." As soon as she finished speaking, the creature abruptly stopped, two cold laughs echoing in the wilderness, "Heh, little thing, you still think of going back?" Lifting the bundle of flesh in its hand, its crimson lips slowly approached, inhaling the fresh scent deeply, softly saying, "Don't be afraid, would you like me to transform you into a noble Androsi?" "In the middle of the night, what dreams are you speaking of?" Haiyin was somewhat nervous, "You, a transformed Androsi, want to transform me? Dream on." Feeling the breath drawing closer, she involuntarily held her breath. The pale face visibly bulged with veins, blood seeping into the blue eyes. The woman split her lips, the sharp fangs piercing through, terrifying eyes fixed on the tender neck of the girl, ready to bite. Just as the sharp fangs touched her skin, Haiyin's silver-gray eyes suddenly brightened, driving two silver needles into the woman's body. Accompaniedby a piercing scream, she swung her right hand, sending the woman flying away. Having gained her freedom, Haiyin hurriedly took out a cloth to wipe her neck, hearing continuous screams. The Androsi was still rolling on the ground. Approaching and sniffing, she detected the smell of something burning. Her eyes flickered with realization, and she quickly stored the cloth, moving closer to the vampire. Upon closer inspection, she was shocked. Who said all vampires were beautiful? Looking at the one before her, it was truly ghastly. Smoke was coming out of its chest, and its body was rapidly shriveling. In just a moment, its features were skeletal. Could silver really be lethal to vampires? "Ah... spare me," the vampire tore at itself in agony, its body withering, legs kicking in pain, and issuing painful screams, "Ah... roar..." As Haiyin hesitated whether to remove the silver needles, mist suddenly formed around her. With a start, she brandished the needles, her eyes scanning the surroundings. Then, she slowly turned her head towards a man approaching from the right front, looking very much like a fairy-tale prince, his crimson eyes particularly striking in the night. "Count Alexander Sterling?" Haiyin wasn't sure it was him, but the color of his eyes was unmistakable. "I'm glad you recognize me," the man approached the now disfigured Androsi, squatting down to look at Haiyin, "Can you remove what's inside her?" He was polite enough. Haiyin sniffed, putting away the needles, "Is she one you transformed?" It was obvious, or he wouldn't be here, "I didn't provoke her. She wanted to suck my blood. I warned her, but she wouldn't listen." The man smiled at the child three steps away, asking, "What did you warn her about?" Indeed, the woman was his transformation, but he hadn't expected her to be so greedy, venturing out to hunt so soon after transformation. Unfortunately, her luck was terribly bad. "To stop wandering around aimlessly," Haiyin stood with hands on hips, "I'm trying to find my way back. Isn't that telling her I'm not an ordinary child?" She glanced at the struggling woman, feeling somewhat troubled. "She really is stupid," the man gazed at Haiyin, "What's your name?" He added, "I don't hold grudges, besides, she's not worth it." After a moment's hesitation, Haiyin told him, "Haiyin DeXi." Hearing the surname, the man appeared surprised but soon smiled, then produced a red glass card, "Help her remove the thing inside, and take this card to Moslin bank. They will pay you." What did this mean? Haiyin was puzzled, "You're going to pay me?" "Don't your DeXi dark witches always take money for work?" The man now understood, the needles the girl held must be a kind of dark weapon, looking down at the woman about to die, his brows barely perceptible frown, "Such a powerful dark weapon." Haiyin was stunned. Was she making money? The DeXi family's reputation was truly widespread!
