"Hey guys, to the bar, we've got a problem or rather... Kyle does." Will announce the moment he entered their home, it was the first condo they had purchased after leaving school and their business had just begun to flourish, it's was a three bedroom, four bath house, with their rarely used kitchen and a bar space which they used mostly for meeting and brain storming, they had been doing so since college and had not bothered changing it, well it works for them "What is it?" Ryan who was already at the bar nursing a drink asked. "Yeah, what is it? someone would think I launched your ass on fire if they heard you." Kyle walked sluggishly to the bar and took his seat opposite Ryan. "I know I'm the most matured one here but I aren't really up for cleaning anyone ass this year?" The two rolled their eyes and Kyle poured himself a drink, "This year..." He pointed to them, "...you all take responsibility for your actions and find solution to your problem yourself." He remove his jacket "but firstly, isn't it too early for a drink?" He looked at Ryan, "Why the hell are you drinking?" "I thought I'm the guilty one." "Yes.' "Then get to the point." Kyle groaned. "Fine, the employee of the year..." "Huh." "The one the good citizen award was going to be given to by the mayor." "Yeah?" "The one all our advertisement for this year was going to be based on." "Yeah, we get it." Ryan groaned, "what happened to her?" "Well, this i***t fired her." he pointed to Kyle. "Huh?" Ryan exclaimed. "I did no such thing." Kyle denied immediately. "I hope not but you did, I asked the manager and the supposed witnesses myself, apparently you had a misunderstanding with her on the plane yesterday." "Misunder... You mean that rude brat." "Rude ... I don't care, we need her back by this weekend." "Why?" "I told you guys I had some paperwork to do on the plane, right?" "Yeah." "Well, in preparation for the upcoming Olympic, I already secure the contract to have our hotel house the players and some dignities." "Wow!" the guys stood. "That's great." Ryan patted his back. "I thought you said we had a low chance?" Kyle exclaimed and hugged him heartily. "We did but after the recent incident on the plane and the speed of the emergency staff, turn out, we were the fastest in providing emergency care which made us the best, that's was one of the reason for the consideration and also our staff training, which we rank first too." "Wow, that's great." Kyle took his seat. "It's won't be, if you don't get her back." "Forget her, I'm sure we can use another model and I'll just send her an invite to the award giving ceremony, if she comes, good, if not, we claim she's shy and have another employee accept on her behalf then we send the award to her, that should be okay." "What an excellent plan but sorry to burst your bubble, she was a requirement for the deal, they made that deal on condition that she leads the team that attend to the dignities, they want her to train them in advance and I said she will... during the video call yesterday and they will be here this weekend and they want to see her and sign the deal then the press conference." "s**t!" Kyle ran his hand through his head. "Yeah, we need to get her back." "I know." He groaned. "I'll go get her." Ryan announced. "No, you aren't." Kyle disagreed. "Why not? I heard you said awful things to her and you condemned her kids before, so maybe Ryan is a better choice." "Maybe but nah..." He looked at Will "he's just going because he hopes to see Janice." "Janice..." "Yeah, you remember he said he saw Janice at the restaurant?" "Yeah." "Well he did because I saw that witch there." "And what have they got to do with eachother?" "You remember him saying they resembles eachother?" "Yeah but she isn't Janice, is she?" "No, just her younger sister." "Shit." "And she was on the plane yesterday too." "So they met?" "Yeah but the commotion didn't exactly give them a chance to talk, so that's why he wants to go?" "Well he certainly isn't, so bro..." Will smirked, "you got to go clean your mess, yourself." "I doubt I can." "Don't doubt it, you have to and you will... besides you are a good negotiator." "You are better." "Too busy, and if I wasn't, you will still be my choice, since you are an excellent charmer besides I'm really not up for cleaning anyone's mess this year." he stood "also would you please stop wallowing in self pity?" he looked at Ryan, "the lady you are dying for is gone." "I think, they are mine." "What are?" Will and Kyle turned to him. "The kids." "What?" Kyle exclaimed, "Are you nut?" "He must be f*****g kidding." Will took his seat back. "They all look like me." "No, they don't." Will disagreed. "Their eyes are violet, you know how rare my violet eyes are but they all have it." "But they call Candice mum." "She's probably 23 and the kids, give or take five, that mean she must have had them in highschool and she definitely a graduate and if she had had the kids, she wouldn't be done with college by now and I heard some kid call Janice mum at the restaurant and didn't that girl say she was trying to do something good for her mum's birthday and I told you guys it was Janice birthday then." "But two of the kids are blond." "Yeah and I don't remember you being a blond or Janice." Will said "except..." He looked at Ryan suspiciously. "What?" "If you cheated on Janice with her sister..." "Are you crazy?" he stood outrageously. "Exactly, if not then you are slowly loosing your mind." he collected Ryan and Kyle's glasses, "no more drinks for you today, go sleep the booze off and come borrow me that smart brain of yours later and" he turned to Kyle, "I need you to turn those gentleman vibes on and go charm her socks off or else you might really find your ass on fire." ***** "What on earth are you doing here?" Candice exclaimed the moment she opened the door and saw Kyle holding a bouquet. "A truce." he passed the flowers to her. "I do not take flowers from people who derived joy by belittling my kids, not to mention harassing them." Kyle winked, he definitely expected this, "Come on, it was a slight misunderstanding." "Slight... Mis..." "Candice who is it?" Janice called from inside. "No one important." Candice turned and slammed the door. Janice looked at her sister then went to the door, "oh.. it's you." she folded her arm across her chest, "why are you here?" "Hi." he heaved "...to apologize, it was all a huge misunderstanding." She looked at him from head to toe, taking in every bit of his appearance then she smirked, "come on in." she turned "Candice he's here to offer you your job back, I guess you are as good as you claimed." she turned to Kyle "we are about to get lunch, care to join us?" "No." Candice put the juice on the table, "the kids are scared of him." she gestured to under the table where the kids were all hiding. "Oh, that's odd. they don't get scared easily." "Exactly. he certainly did a number on them, twice I've met him and both times they were crying and he claimed he saw us at the restaurant, I bet he was the on who made them cry then too." "No it's isn't like that, I think they got jammed in in the restroom on the plane and I help them out." "Not lock them in?" "Of course not, it was..." "Doesn't really matter, I do not want to work for you." "Seams as if you two enjoy talking to each other." Janice continue to set the table "and it's obvious you have a lot to say, there's a cafe at the next corridor after this street, take her out for lunch." "No way, I barely get the chance to eat lunch with the kids, there's no way I'm missing out today." "Then dinner?" Kyle offered. "No, I like eating with my kids." Candice replied. "Then bring them along." The sisters exchange look then burst into laughter, causing the children to peep at them. "He's desperate." Janice turned to Kyle, "she will be ready by seven and return her by 10 sharp, I'll take care of kid." "No." Candice protested "Thank you." he mumbled to Janice "I'll be here by seven sharp." he turned away and gently help himself out. "You will be eating alone." Candice called out to him as she walked to the door and locked it. ***** "Hey, how did it go?" Will asked the moment Kyle entered. "Why are you guys home?" he took his seat and picked a game console. 'Don't even get me started." Ryan groaned. "Wait till the rumors hit you in the face." Will replied. "What rumour?" Kyle asked. Will and Ryan exchanged looks as they debate whether to tell him or not. Kyle took their consoles away. "After you answer my question, how did it go?" Will asked. "Terrible, she was still fumming and her kids are still terrified of me." "Did something else happened?" Ryan asked. "Not really, I don't think Janice remember me and if she does, then she's doing a good job of pretending not to, or maybe she totally moved on." "Why do you think that?" Will asked. 'Candice slammed the door on my face but Janice invited me in and even offered me lunch." "That's progress then." Will smiled. "Not exactly, the kids hid themselves under the table when they saw me and my dear Candice was kind enough to point that out so I got kicked out." "Ouch!" Ryan winked. "So what will you do now." "Dinner." "Dinner?" "Janice bought me a dinner ticket, I'm to arrive by seven and return her by 10, and not a minute later or earlier." "Doesn't that looks like she's pushing you two together, you know?" Ryan shrugged. Kyle scoffed "or maybe she doesn't want her sister to lose her job with four kids to cater for, she literally told Candice I'm here to offer her her job back." "She did?" "Yeah, before inviting me in." Ryan grinned proudly, "She still got it." "Oh no." Will stood. "Yeah, I agreed." Kyle also stood, "he has finally lost it." The men left Ryan to his own devices forgetting their earlier discussion. **** "Hey, how was your date?" Ryan asked. "Terrible." Kyle slumped n the chair. "What?" "Why?" The guys exclaimed. He looked t them then began to unbuttoned his shirt, his jacket seated next to him, "I think she's very mad at me, infact I think she hates me, this is definitely the worst date ever, I'll rather have dinner with all our families at a table than repeat this experience." "That terrible?" Ryan asked. "Of course... it's must be." Will chuckled "he wants our families at the same table." Ryan grinned then went to the bar to get everyone a drink, he placed a glass in front of Kyle, "I want details." Will moved away their documents then collected his drink and relax lazily against the chair. "Janice literally pushed her out of the house then stood guard till we left, then she refused to talk to me till we got to the restaurant, after that she spent her whole time flirty with the waiter, I had to literally send him away then she went back to the silent treatment after the meal, which she ate properly, she didn't picked on it, it was like she was glad to eat, she made sure to finish everything on her plate while I could barely swallow then she went to speak with the chef, whom I'm sure she was definitely flirting with, you should have seen the way he was smiling and laughing when she didn't even smile at me once." "Wow!" "Someone did give you a run for your money, didn't she?" Will grinned. "I charged it to the company account." Kyle smirked. Ryan chuckle while Will cursed. "Why would you do that, i***t, it was your fault in the first place." "I refused to suffer double loss." "Then is the company supposed to manage your loss?" "Will you like to try tomorrow?" "Wait, you still do didn't succeed?" "Yeah." he took a huge gulp of his drink. The men exchange looks "are you sure you aren't loosing your touch?" "No, I told you she hates me and then there was the foolish rain, why wasn't that in the forecast?" "It was." Ryan replied. Kyle threw him an angry look, "Well, since I thought neither of us had an umbrella, I asked if there was anything she will like to do, it was just eight thirty and I still had till ten to convince her." "So what happened?" "She ordered a bottle of wine to go, walked in the rain, sat on my car and down the wine alone... In the rain." "Huh." "Then when she was done, she went to the valet requested for her umbrella and jacket." "She had one all along." Ryan exclaimed. "Didn't you see her with it when you were going?" "No I didn't, I was busy trying to get her to talk to me... then she spoke for the first time to me this night and requested I take her home."parent "She's definitely a piece of work." "Yes." Kyle stood then down the remainder of his drink, "I can't remember the last time I begged a lady or the last time I stood in the rain, so with this I'm giving up." "Kyle..." "We need..." "I don't care." He looked at Ryan, "you can talk to Janice and even get trapped by her again and I still won't care, You guys can try all you want, I don't care, I've never felt like a sinner in my entire life but that's all I felt today, even my mother couldn't have made me feel this terrible..." he heaved, "and if you have even the smallest doubt that the kids are still yours then get rid of it, that witch is definitely their parents." he walked to his room gloomy.
