Chapter 4 Lazier

1034 Words
Ron, Ron!" a woman’s voice shouted from below the attic, “Where is Lake?” Securing the magic wand at his waist, Ron leaned out the window. “Ah, Lazer, the master has gone to Count Ston’s. If you need to find him, you may have to wait until tonight.” Lazer was a female wizard in the guild, around thirty years old. The azure wizard robe complemented her beautiful figure perfectly. “Ron, come down. I need to get a wind crystal from Lake.” “Alright, I’ll be right down,” Ron locked the door and hurried down. Whenever Ron was with Lazer, he always felt particularly good. Although Lazer was much older than him, he felt that female wizards in this world were particularly cool, and he had a strong desire to get close to them. Since Ron was usually diligent, Lazer also liked this young man and often involved him in magical experiments and shared magical knowledge with him. Opening Master Lake’s magic laboratory, Ron said, “The crystals are in the cabinet on the right. Feel free to pick what you need.” “Lake is really wealthy. How can he use up so many crystals? Alright, I’ve made my selection. I’ll let Lake know later. Thank you, Ron,” Lazer said as she walked out. Turning back to Ron, she said, “I’m working on a new magic array. Now that I have all the materials, are you interested in coming to see it?” “Absolutely, it would be an honor to meet such a generous and beautiful grand wizard like you. It’s truly my good fortune,” Ron quickly flattered. Lazer smiled. “Let’s go.” In the middle of Lazer’s laboratory, there was a large table with a hexagram array drawn on it, filled with various magical symbols. In the center of the array was a glowing sphere. Lazer embedded the crystal she had obtained from Lake into a slot in the center of the magic array, then closed her eyes and began to meditate. After gently reciting a magic spell, the entire magic array began to light up. The glowing sphere in the center became increasingly dazzling, and as the magical energy fluctuated, the dazzling sphere slowly floated into the air above the magic array. “This is a levitating magic array. Unlike other levitating magic arrays, I used a very simple method, utilizing the energy conversion between the levitated object and the crystal. This means that the levitated object must contain a certain amount of magical energy to achieve this effect. Other levitating magic arrays can make objects without energy float, but they are much more complex than this one. In comparison, the magic array I’m experimenting with is more practical because most people now possess their own magical power or Qi. The simpler the magic array, the more practical it is,” Lazer explained to Ron as she observed her magic array. Ron nodded repeatedly, but in his mind, he was thinking about this levitation phenomenon in his own way. “To make an object float, it must either overcome the force of gravity or initiate a downward force, just like a rocket launch. This magic array should be based on the second principle, using the energy conversion between the levitated object and the crystal to initiate a downward force for the object to float.” Satisfied, Lazer looked at her magic array. “Ron, did you understand the meditation principles I taught you last time?” “I understood the basics, but no matter how I try, I can’t seem to feel any magical power,” Ron enjoyed being alone with the beautiful female wizard, even though she was a bit older. He found her very pleasing to the eye. “Of course, it won’t happen overnight. Learning magic requires talent, but even with the best talent, it’s impossible to feel magical power in such a short time. But remember, magical power is the most important. A wizard manipulates the magical elements around them using their own magical power to achieve the purpose of casting spells. The stronger the magical power, the stronger the ability to manipulate magical elements and the greater the distance of manipulation,” Lazer said, flipping up the hood of her wizard robe to cover her flowing hair. “Alright, I’m going to rest for a bit. You should go back too. Remember, you must practice meditation every day. Once you can feel magical power, the biggest obstacle to learning magic will be eliminated. Meditation is the only way to enhance magical power.” As Ron walked back to his nest, he heard a commotion on the street outside. It seemed like a group of people were running down the street. Ron ran to the guild entrance to take a look and indeed saw a group of people. At the head was a knight, and the other swordsmen were scattered at the doorways of various houses, as if they were inquiring about something. Seeing the guild door open, the knight immediately urged his horse over. He gracefully dismounted. The knight did not dare to sit high on his horse at the entrance of the wizard’s guild. He said to Ron, “Young man, have you seen an injured mercenary run into the wizard’s guild?” “Sir Knight, I did not see the person you mentioned enter our guild. How may I be of service to you?” Ron replied very politely. “Oh, it’s nothing. If you see an injured person enter your guild, please be sure to contact the Glorious Knights of Count Ston. I am the captain of the fourth squadron, Dus,” the knight said as he mounted his horse. “I apologize for the disturbance. Please give my regards to Master Lake.” After seeing Dus off, Ron went straight back to his nest and took out the “Meditation Principles” that Lazer had given him to read. He was now familiar with the principles of this world. The stronger one’s power, the more dominant they were. Only by developing one’s own power could they have a chance to stand out.
