As I drove to Khloe's apartment, I tried calling her cell phone and landline. It kept going straight to voicemail, and I felt fear rush through me. It isn't like Khloe to not answer her phone. The last time something similar had occurred, I had almost lost her. I couldn't go through this again. I hoped that this wasn't the case.
I felt like such an i***t for not listening when she'd called earlier on. I should've made an effort, canceled meetings- found some way to listen. I'm so stupid. What does she think? That I don't want her anymore, or I was ignoring her. That was beside the truth. I'd wanted more than anything to be back in NYC, but with up and coming contracts, and ensuring that everything ran smoothly, I'd lost track of time.
