Chapter 3

FLASHBACK OVER

Snow's POV

I had no idea who that was, but I could tell that he was a human. And it would have been dangerous for the both of us if we were seen talking; so I just ran, without saying anything to him.

I went back to the party. But when I arrived there it was already over. 'I must have ruined it with my overreacting' I thought as I walked into my house.

I entered into my room and I saw tha my father was in there. I was surprised but I didn't show it.

"You disappointed me today Snow. I expected more from you!" He said.

"I didn't mean to. It's just that your announcement caught me unawares".

"You have always been aware that this day would come ever since you were younger".

"Yes, but I always thought that I'll have more time. That it'll be far away from now before I..." I paused because I hate saying the word 'get married'. "Before I become Luna" I rephrased my sentence.

"I have arranged for you to leave here tomorrow, and go to a resort were you will spend one month with the three Betas that has nuptial intentions towards you. Which ever one you like the most you get married to" he said as if he didn't hear what I just said. "Do you understand me?" He asked.

Everything within me wanted to tell him no. And tell him what I really wanted, but before I knew it I said; "Yes".

"Good" he said, then walked out.

Scarlett's POV

I saw dad coming out of Snows room,then I went and met him.

"She's not ready to be Alpha, and I don't think she'll ever be" I said to him but he kept on walking. "Maybe you should consider giving someone else that mantle" I added but he still kept on walking.

And just as he was about to exit the door, he turned back and said; "To be an Alpha you have to be upfront, and not by talking behind someone's back" and with that, he left. While I just fumed.

Damien's POV

After the mysterious lady ran away, I started leaving the forest quickly. Then I saw a necklace on the floor. I admired it before I picked it up.

It was made of silver and sapphire. With a pendant that spelt Snow. 'It must have belonged to that mysterious lady'; I thought.

As I was headed to the resort, I bump into someone standing by the entrance. He's a tall man; 6.3 ft maybe. He was wearing all black. And he looked like he held a powerful status.

"My name is Draco" he said with casually.

'Those eyes, those golden brown eyes of his. Why does it feel so familiar'...

Willow's POV

I woke up, feeling a little bit thirsty. I reluctantly rolled outta bed, and strolled to go and get a glass of water..

I was about to enter the kitchen, but stopped when I heard him talking with someone. I tried to eavesdrop, I could her voices but I couldn't make out what either of them were saying, per se.

After they were done talking; Damien come flying into the lobby. "What was that about?" I asked. And with the way that he replied, I could tell that I startled him.

"Good grief!" He yelled as he turned back frantically. But he soon let out a sigh of relief when he saw that it was just me. "Don't sneak up on me like that ever again".

I wanted to taunt him a bit by calling him a scaredy cat. But my curiosity got the better of me; "Who were you talk in to I?" I ended up asking, then he started grinning from ear to ear.

"We just got booked" he said excitedly.

"For real?" I asked and he nodded. "Amazing! that's good news".

"Yeah, but there was something about that Man's eyes, that seemed to put me on edge".

"You just gave me good news. There's no need to ruin it with some paranoia over the dudes eyes".

"You're right, there's no time for that. We have to clean and arrange here before tomorrow cuz that's when they'll be here".

"Wait we have to clean this entire resort tonight? I asked in shock because this is a big resort.

"Yeah I didn't think I stutter did I. Now grab a broom or a mop, the quicker we start the better" he said then I groaned reluctantly, but did as he said anyway.

Damien's POV

The next morning was when Willow and I got done cleaning. Soon after I could hear sounds coming from outside. I looked through a window and saw the already expected guests arriving.

"Willow they're here" I said as I shook the already sleeping Willow; who was resting on the wall.

"Already" she said tiredly.

"Yes! so come on, let's go and meet them. And uh, try to be nice, and don't say anything sarcastic okay".

"When am I ever not nice, or sarcastic ?".

"Basically every day that I've known you" I said then we went outside...

I saw them. Three males and a female. Whose names I later found out to be; Cullen, Roland, Hunter and Snow.

"Hi everyone my name is Damien, I'll be your host. And this is my sister, Willow. And she'll be your hostess. We're a little bit short staffed here, so you would be seeing alot of us. Anyway here are the keys to your rooms", I gave each of them a key with the numbers of their rooms written on it; and they took it. "I hope you'll enjoy your stay; and make sure to tell your friends about us". I said.

"What a yank!" Cullen muttered. "I don't mean you sweet cheeks" he said to Willow then winked at her.

Snow rolled her eyes, picked up her bags and started moving towards the direction of the rooms.

"Do you need help with those?" I asked,offering to help her and carry her bags.

"Thanks but I can handle it" she said.

"I didn't doubt that" I said then she smiled softly at me. I unconsciously smiled back. We maintained gaze for a while.

"Here! You can carry mine instead" Cullen said then threw his luggages at me.

"Do you need help with yours?" Willow asked Hunter, he didn't answer he just carried his bags and walked away...

I came out of Cullens room after dropping his stuffs inside. I saw Snow just coming outta her door with a dissatisfied face.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"The bed's not arranged" she said simply.

"We must have forgotten to arrange it last night. Don't worry just gve me a minute and I'll be done with it" I said then walked into her room, while she waited outside.

Snow's POV

I waited outside the room for more than five minutes now, and Damien isn't out yet. 'Dressing a bed isn't suppose to take that long' I thought.

"Damien?" I called but got no reply. "Are you done?" I asked but still got no reply. So I opened the door and walked in.

I saw him sleeping on top of the bed. I wasn't angry; but curious.

This was the first time that I got to see a human up close. I sat beside him and admired his face. 'He's handsome' I thought as I poked his face with my index finger.

Then he opened his eyes. "Did I fall asleep?" He asked while he stood up.

"You look tired, maybe you should keep on resting" I suggested.

"Thanks! but I can't. I have to make sure the rest settles in right" he said an tried heading for the door but he hit a wall instead.

"Sorry!" I muttered.

"Its fine. Um, Willow is uh gonna give you a brochure containing, uh what we do, so make sure you get" he said, and was about to leave.

"Why don't you bring it to me?"I asked then he paused.

"I mean I could if you want me to"

"I want you too. But I'll only take it after you get some sleep" I said.

"Sure" he muttered. Then left.

'Are all humans that clumsy?' I thought.

Damien's POV

...After a few hours, I approached Snows door with a brochure in my hand. I knocked and immediately she opened it as if she was expecting me. She smiled when she saw me and I did the same.

"Special delivery for Miss Snow. Here you go. You could've gotten it earlier, but you are the one who insisted that I get some rest so the delay is your fault" I said jokingly.

"I guess so" she said,still retaining her smile.

"Would you like to come down for dinner or would you prefer that I bring it to you?".

"I get to choose?" I said in form of a question.

"Yeah it's your choice" I replied.

"It's my choice, I like the sound of that... I'll go down, but you'll have to go with me, cuz I haven't gotten used to this place yet" she said.

"It'll be my pleasure" I said then we walked out...

... We arrived at the diner, where; Roland Hunter and Cullen were sitted.

"Hope you enjoy the food. If you or your brothers need anything,I'm just one call away" I said thinking the trio at the are her brothers.

"They are not my brothers" Snow said curtly.

"Boyfriend then?" I asked in disappointment.

"We're more like her love interests. Not like that's any of your business yank" Cullen said.

"We'll let you know if we need any thing" Snow said then dismissed me.

Snow's POV

I sat down on the same table that they were at.

"What were you doing with him?" Roland asked me with jealousy in his tone.

"It's none of your business" I said and it got him even more jealous.

"Snow whatever we are doing here concerns the three of us. You don't have to make it complicated by dragging that human into this" Roland said.

"His name is Damien. And I'm not making anything complicated; he was just accompanying me so that I won't get lost" I said defensively.

"I'm just saying cuz I know you Snow. You might think you're rebelling against your father by; hanging out with him instead of us. But that's only gonna end up badly; for you and worse for him".

"Roland, Roland, Roland; do us all a favor and just stop. Your voice is putting me to sleep", Cullen cut in. "And give my future wife a break okay!" He added.

"She's not your future wife! She's most likely not gonna choose you of all people to be her mate" Roland said slightly agitated.

"You sure about that? As I've heard you are her best friend, and it would be super weird if she chooses you. And Hunter over there, doesn't even look like he's taking any of this seriously. No offense to you Hunter, but you look so dark and secretive,and thats a huge downer."

Cullen relaxes on his chair. "And with you two having zero chances, in my book that leaves me with the girl". He said then winked at me.

"Conversations like this aren't gonna make feel affection for any of you" I said and stood up feeling agitated. "What was I thinking coming down here I should have just had dinner in my room" I muttered then walked away.

Cullen's POV

After Snow left an idea popped into my head. "Let's make a bet..." I said alluringly...
