It was a cool evening, the sky was still bright. She sat in the garden that surrounded a cozy cabin joining the birds that sat in the trees around to sing as she tended to the flowers in the garden. She loved nature and knew she was stronger when she surrounded herself with it. ”Oh! there you are” she cooed softly as she touched the petals of a dying flower and it bloomed once more. She moved around with much difficulty as she was heavily pregnant but she was still so happy. Her bloodline was ancient, so were the gifts that came along with it. She was a witch and she knew such gifts come with a price. She knew of what was to come and the price she had to pay. It was her responsibility and she would never shy away from it but for now, she wanted to leave in the moment. Looking towards the fence that surrounds the garden, her smiled bloomed like the flowers in spring. She moved towards the fence as fast as her bump allowed her to but he was faster, he crossed over to her in no time, sweeping her off her feet as her laughter echoed through the garden like a cold summer evening breeze. ”I told thee to have more clothes on,” her beloved said to her as he carried her to the cabin and put her on the rocking chair in front of it. Before he brought a jar of oil and began to massage her feet with it. Suddenly, it was a night of a full moon a man stood laughing as he looked at the cozy cabin that was wrecked a shadow of itself. Everywhere was scattered, the flowers in the garden lay scattered all over the place. And there her beloved lay in a pool of blood. The man shifted into a wolf and howled at the moon. *** Jared woke up sweating he felt the bedside stand for his phone, carefully removed his arms that were around Seth, using the light of the phone, he tiptoed to his study to avoid waking Seth up. Jared took out a book from his safe and wrote down his dreams before he forgot them. He had never been able to tell anyone he always had strange dreams so he wrote them down instead each time he had a new one. Halfway through writing, he saw a tear drop on the book and realized he was crying. His dreams were becoming more frequent and different and each time, it left him felt inexplicably sad. As he felt more connected with each new dream, the hollow he felt increased. After writing, he locked the book back in his safe and sat at a corner covering his mouth with his hands in hopes that it will muffle the sound of his cries as he did not want to wake Seth up. He let the tears he had been trying to hold back flow and he cried himself to sleep in the study. Jared woke up to a light tap on his shoulder. Raising his head, he saw a cup of hot coffee being presented to him. ”After going to bed snuggled up with you, you seem to somehow find a way to come back here and fall asleep quite often these days,” Seth said handing the coffee. ”Thanks,” Jared said and brought the cup to his lips. ”What has you coming back here do you wanna talk about it? Is the pressure at work too much? I have told you that you don't always have to do everything by yourself. Why don't you allocate more work to your subordinates”. Jared smiled listening to Seth rattle non-stop and felt warm inside. ”I’m fine. I won't promise that you won't find me asleep here again but I really am fine. There is no pressure at work, I have adjusted quite well into the new position and I have a lot of work allocated to my subordinates. You know you would be the first to know if I have something going on right?” ”Yes” ”Fine. So I could really use a hug” Jared said putting down the cup of coffee on the table and Seth worked into his arms. ”You mean the world to me, so don't get hurt I know you cried and you have being crying each time you sleep here. Whatever it is you are keeping from me, I won't ask till you are ready to tell me but don't make me wait for long”. Seth whispered ”Okay” Jared answered pulling him closer as though his life depended on it.
