SPECIAL REQUEST

1014 Words
RAFA A group of immortals from Suncrest arrived at our cabin early in the morning. All of them wore black armour and black suits, which obviously implied that they were special soldiers of Suncrest Mainland. It is not new to me since the king of Suncrest requested to perform healing at their place a thousand years ago. My apprentices welcomed them and offered food to them as our guests. The man with the golden suncrest and stars on his shoulders handed me a letter and I quickly read it. "Greetings, Lady Rafa. I, King Darius, asked for your presence in our kingdom. As two members of our council have been critically ill and were not able to walk and travel a far distance, such as your place. I have sent my special fighters to guide and protect you along the way. We hope that this request finds you well and pleasing. We will triple our support to you in terms of food and medical supplies as this request is quite special. May the rising sun enlighten your mind and guide your path to your destination." King Darius used their kingdom chant in his letter, which means he has some serious business with me. I nodded at them silently and prepared my things for an adventure. Every trip I have had, I always deem it an adventure because it motivates me to do home services knowing that I have to travel for days. It is an exhausting and draining mission, but having the king send his special forces was not a small matter to be taken. I advised the seven of them to take a rest for the night and we would leave in the morning. The scorching heat of the sun going to Suncrest Mianland made us pause under the shades of trees whenever we met one. After four days, we finally arrived at their kingdom. The King and Queen were so happy to see me. I was accommodated in their special guest chamber and served extravagant foods wherein I couldn't even eat all of it. Back in our cabin, we are very thrifty with our food because we prioritize our patients. I lay down on a very soft bed and hugged the fluffy pillows, savoring the moments of my stay in their castle. Suncrest kingdom is the richest among the mainlands, considering how abundant it is in terms of gold and precious stones. It's not a surprise though, because almost every part of their castle is gold. Their attires, uniforms of their soldiers and even ordinary citizens have gold in their houses as their treasures. The poorest in their kingdom is already the middle class in other kingdoms. No doubt their place is called Suncrest because the beam of their cities speaks gold, all in yellow. I tried to familiarize myself with their ambience because they are all extravagant here and their fashion is always trendy and almost every year they have a new fashion introduced in a market. I usually pass by their cities but never scrutinise their environment and culture. Some I knew were from rumors I had heard from neighboring mainlands, some are true and some are assumptions. I walked out of my room wearing my white mask with rhinestone designs and wearing my all white fairy dress, with petticoats underneath. My hair is braided with clips of flowers and butterflies. I always wore my mask every time I visited kingdoms to cover my aura. I walked through the halls of the castle and looked at the walls with the hanged portraits of kings and queens. Seems like the lineage of King Darius. So this family tree is all about Aelius' family name. So, King Darius Aelius and Queen Amelia Aelius is how they should be addressed. If I hadn't seen their hall of Kings and Queens of Suncrest, I would not know their surname. I have traveled and known a lot of places, but having the knowledge of the history of kings and queens is not just my cup of tea. Their castle is almost empty because of its enormous size that almost covers the forest that we lived in. I continued to walk and passed from door to door. I noticed that they had a lot of room inside. I almost reached downstairs and, suddenly, two arms were wrapped around my waist and before I could scream, we were shifted to an unfamiliar room filled with books, and oh, this is a library, a very huge library, I could say, tall shelves surrounded the whole venue and almost touching the ceiling. I tend to look around to seek out the one who brought me here. The entire place has no door to exit. I'm almost scared and angry at someone who played this trick on me. Eventually, a fiery shadow appeared behind my back. If he or she was going to kill me, it would be the end of me, because I do not have the skill to defend or attack. Healers only know how to heal but not to kill. As this shadow is now close to me, it slowly changes into an immortal form and flames disappear. Daven surprisingly appeared in front of me and his eyes were so full of amusement that I almost burst out in rage. "What are you playing at Daven? I thought you were sent to Moondwell to assist your peace treaty there? I questioned him with an obvious annoyance in my tone. He didn't respond to me and he looked suddenly serious. He pushed me to the shelf and caged me in his arms. What is he thinking? Is he going to take me here where no one is watching us? How poor of you, Daven. You have such the most gorgeous face with your long hair down to your waist and everything about you is perfect. And yet you are pulling this poor and absurd trick just to bring a woman inside this like-a-mushroom (Mushroom house has no room or window) place. I wasn't even worthy of his attention.
