Liz POV
I bolted from my mom’s room and ran down the single longest flight of steps I have ever taken in my life. I felt both a sense of relief for the decision made and a sense of panic over having left Ash behind like I did. He wasn't in a good state of mind when I left him. I wasn't in the state of mind to deal with his state of mind, but, still, I shouldn't have just left him standing in front of the pack house.
I had glanced around as I approached and hadn't seen anyone there, but that didn't mean much. I should have at least had the decency to drop him off on his private balcony.
I finally reached his door and took a deep breath to collect my thoughts.
"It's okay, Liz. You can do this. You're here to help him. You have chosen him. He's going to be okay. He'll come home with you,
