Ash POV
I've never felt so alive as I do right now. I feel like I'm hyper-aware of everything. Liz's naked body bathing in the waterfall. I see every detail, and I can hardly contain my desire for her. The sky looks clearer than I ever remember it being. The water even feels cooler. My skin feels extra sensitive to its cold as it laps against me.
I feel like I've just been given permission to live. All my plans for revenge on the person who attacked me washed away with the flowing water. All I could see was Liz in my future. I was ready to throw my life away for vengeance, but what is the use? Every time I got mocked or humiliated all I could think about was finding my attacker and taking out all my rage on him.
But now, Liz had told me I was leaving this pack and going home with her. G
