I read and reread the text from Huallpa. I had texted her 6 times asking if he was done and how it went. She finally responded, and this is all I got?! Ugh.
“What’s wrong, princess?” My dad asked, glancing up from his computer at my sour expression.
“Huallpa just texted me, and of course it’s vague,” I griped.
“Hmph,” my dad snorted. “Witches and wizards…still such mysterious beings. No matter how long you know someone you don’t really know them.”
