Ash stepped away from me and walked over to the king's body. He rolled it over and started searching it.
"What are you doing?" I asked, coming over to join him. The king's lips were black from the poison, and the veins in his face were dark blue and protruding under his skin. I shivered at the sight. How ghastly.
"If he was carrying something that he intended for suicide, maybe he was carrying something that could also give us some answers? He obviously wasn't sure he could win this fight, so maybe he had something on him for each outcome," Ash grumbled as he searched the king's pockets.
