I had stood up shocked and pushed Victoria off me as if her body had scorched mine. “Ow!” she groaned and rubbed her head. I walked towards her. “Babe, it’s not what it looks like” I said to her when I noticed her body shaking with fury. Her once sweet face was a contortion of emotions. Reaching out my hand to touch her, she slapped it away. Charlie had started to yell in a high pitched voice before she said the words of rejection. Shocked, I looked deep into her dark eyes.
