I was sitting in the same position I sat in every day and feeling even more hopeless as the days passed. “Baby, please. Wake up” I whisper-pleaded with the lifeless form of my mate. She looked delicate as she lay on that bed, covered in white sheets. Her once lively skin looked pale and her bouncy curls lifeless. I have no idea how long I’ve been sitting here but I didn’t care. As long as I could feel the warmth of her hand, my heart didn’t ache so much.
