The hot water had done little to quiet the restless energy beneath Kael’s skin. He stepped back into the main room of the Redpaw Alpha house, adjusting the clean black shirt Julian had provided. The unfamiliar scent of another pack clung faintly to the fabric, mixing with cedarwood and fresh coffee drifting through the space. Across the table, Ronan lounged comfortably in one of the heavy wooden chairs.
