“Your Alpha’s brother flirts like a serpent.” Selene spoke first, breaking the tension, her arms folded over her chest, gazing at the now closed door.
I sighed. “I don’t know what he’s doing. Maybe this is another test, or something to annoy me. Who knows! I don't trust that man at all!”
“Sounds like a challenge to me.” Selene muttered.
“He is. A challenge I vowed to not lose.” I said determinedly. No matter what he's trying to do, I'll overcome it!
Selene’s lips curved. “Then I can’t wait to see your victory slap across his face.”
And we both laughed at that.
I exhaled, finally releasing the tension I hadn’t realized I was holding. It felt a lot lighter now.
