  EVELARA   The morning sun cast its gentle light upon the windows, but sleep had abandoned me long before dawn.   I woke up with his voice still stuck in my head, like a shadow I couldn't shake, just repeating those words I didn't want to hear: ‘You can’t be kept out of anything anymore…’   I forced myself from the bed, steadying my trembling hands beneath the calm mask I had learned to wear.
