  EVELARA   Those questions—they pulsed against my veins, echoing louder, almost suffocating me.   I glanced beside the little figure, still asleep with his arms wrapped around his new favourite stuffed toy.   Leaning forward, I kissed his head and adjusted the quilt properly, before rising to my feet and walked out to the attached verandah. The soft night breeze reduced the suffocation a bit.
