"There you are," Miles said, his voice tight with barely controlled anger. "Dante, I need you. Father wants to discuss the Harrison account. Now."
"Of course," Dante said smoothly, not showing any embarrassment or guilt. "I'll be right there." He turned to Ravyn, pressing a quick kiss to her temple. "I'll call you tonight?"
"Please," Ravyn said, letting affection color her voice. "Be safe."
"Always," Dante promised, then followed Miles down the hallway. But not before Ravyn saw him bite his lip, clearly fighting back a grin at Miles's obvious fury.
That left Ravyn alone in the hallway with Rhys, who was still watching her with that unreadable expression.
