CHAPTER 2

2 Months later........

I still couldn't believe Mom is in jail, even after two months. Her money isn't enough to bribe the Law. I want to know who putted her in jail, it must be one of the powerful family in Philippines right?.

I kept scrolling down, I kept doing research. Even in school, currently I'm feeling better. I'm not living in the mansion anymore, Mom didn't kicked me out but it's my will to get out of that mansion.

Medyo tumataba na rin ako, since Mom was jailed I kept regaining my Health back. I stopped taking the pills, hindi na rin ako nahihilo gaya ng dati at hindi na ako namimilipit dahil sa sakit ng kalamnan ko.

"So sino ba kasi?" I muttered to myself, I'm eating fries while scrolling down the internet.

My attention was caught. Deliazal? Parang may Deliazal sa school namin, I heard they're family is know world wide. Hind ko nga lang alam kung anong business.

I kept thinking about that surname kahit nasa classroom na ako. Who could it be?, bale parang may apat na Deliazal rito sa school so..... Sino sakanila? Who could I get information from?, ah basta after classes ko na siya pro-problemahin.

As before, wala pa ring umuupo sa tabi ko kahit linagyan na ito ng bangko. I think they still can't move on from the past, two months pa lang naman ang lumilipas. After class I immediately went out to the cafeteria, it's lunch so possibly dito ang punta ng mga Deliazal sa school.

"I'll take Cheesecake and Apple juice po" sambit ko at server. She immediately prepared it in a tray, pagkatapos ay pumunta na ako sa bakanteng table. Sa dulo na ako pumwesto, dulo na kita ang lahat. I roamed my eyes over the other students who's eating, while taking a bite off my cheesecake.

A group of boy's entered the cafeteria, they all searched for an empty table and I guess they found it already.

"Can we sit here?..." The man stopped asking and lowered his face as he met my gaze. "Again" sambit nito. I nodded like before.

"Thanks" sambit naman ng Isang lalaki. They all took their sits as I continued to chew on my cheesecake.

"Umm..." Since nandito rin naman sila, maybe I could ask them about the Deliazal's. "Kilala niyo ba ang Deliazal's dito sa school?" I asked them. They all looked at me.

"Why? May trip ka? Sino?" Tanong ng isa dahilan para panliitan ko ito ng mata. Tatanong lang tungkol doon crush na agad.

"Wala" sambit ko. He smiled at me again.

"Well, nakaka-hurt ka ng pride alam mo?" Sambit nito at umaktong parang nasasaktan. May pa hawak-hawak pa sa puso kuno.

"Bakit naman?" I asked and he laughed, no they all laughed even the man who's sitting beside me. I looked at all of them, why are they laughing? May nakakatawa ba sa tanong ko.

"I can't believe this girl just shattered my pride"

"Para akong tinabunan ng kahihiyan"

"May isa pa palang hindi nakakakilala saatin" sambit ng tatlo, I looked at the man who's sitting beside and as I raised my eyebrow.

"We're Deliazal" tipid nitong sagot. At looked at all four of them, then darted my eyes back again to the man sitting beside me. How could I not know? They're standing out.

Ganyan na ba ako ka-isolated at bulag?.

"Ah" tanging nasambit ko ng balutin na ang lamesa namin ng katahimikan.

"So what do you want to ask us?" Binaling ko ang tingin sa isa, he was wearing a glasses.

"Oo, parang may gusto kang itanong. Wag kang mahiya single pa naman ako, pwede ka pa" pinanliitan ko ulit ito ng mata. Shuta, taas ng pride nitong isa. Sayang, kung wala lang ata itong hiwa sa may mata eh perfect na sana ang gwapo.

Pinatikim ata ng kamalasan.

"Oh, maybe she'll ask me to tutor her like the other girls. Iyon ba?" Sambit ng isa pang lalaki, medyo blonde ang buhok nito. I shook my head.

"Hindi" I said and they all gave me a confused look.

"Kung hindi eh ano?" Tanong ng may hiwa sa Isang mata.

"Ano.... Kilala niyo ba si Mrs. Price?" I asked and they all looked at me, no not at me but the man who's sitting beside me.

"We don't know about her, yang katabi mo ang may alam" sambit ng may glasses. I looked at him, now I can remember who's he. Siya yung nag-patulog saakin sa clinic. How can't I not think of that? That his voice that day we're filled with concern.

Hindi ko naman alam na babanggain niya si Mom.

"Let's talk later, after class" Sambit nito at tumango naman ako. The bell rang, wala naman akong sunod na klase dahil half day lang kami ngayon pero mukhang magiging whole day dahil may klase ang lalaking sasagot sa mga tanong ko.

I waited at the field for almost 2 hours, naka-upo ako sa ilalim ng puno habang naka-handig ang likod sa puno. I rested my head and looked up in the green leaves.

"Sorry for waiting" rinig kong sambit ng lalaki, I looked at him as he sit down beside me. He putted his bag on the other side at walang namamagitan saamin na kahit ano.

So our shoulders freely touched each other. I can feel his warmth even if there's this fabric of our uniforms in between.

"I'm Crisius Alquazzi Deliazal, I'm the one who imprisoned your mother" deritsong sambit nito, he was not looking at me. Nakatingin ito sa kalangitan, kita ko kung paano sumingkit ang mata nito dahil sa init ng araw. It's cute.

"Why?" Mahinang tanong ko. He looked at me.

"Because she hurts you" he said, Hindi ko namalayang pinawi niya na pala ang buhok na lumilipad kanina sa mukha ko. Inipit niya ito sa tenga at nagsalita ulit. "I can't let a cruel person live free while hurting you" his warmth, his warm words lahat sila nag-halo. I can't understand why my heart kept thumping hard, hindi naman ito nangyayari dati.

"Precious... See it's already in your name... Elira Precious..." The way he muttered my name, bigla nalang akong nakaramdam ng kung anong init na dumaloy sa sistema ko. I felt weak, but unlike before it's now the hurting one.

"So Alius nalang tawag ko sayo?" I said, we where walking towards the parking lot. After what he said to me, our conversation just made me realize how monster Mom is.

Alius said ihahatid niya ako sa apartment, syempre pumayag naman ako. Hindi ko alam pero parang merong parte saakin na ayaw nang humiwalay sakanya. Is it because I feel safer with his presence? Or is it because I'm enjoying how this uncomfortable feeling in my stomach is making me feel good.

Hayst. Ewan.

He opened the door for me and I slid in, pagkatapos ay siya naman ang pumunta sa side niya. I buckled my seat belt on, at tumingin sa labas ng bintana.

I think I suddenly regret it. Para kasing ang init sa look kahit naka-aircon, at Hindi pa tumutulong itong puso kong kanina pang talbog ng talbog kala mo naman hindi matapos-tapos ang work out sa jumping jack niya.

As the car move, linibang ko ang sarili sa pagbibilang ng mga poste na nadadaanan namin. The silence between us is making things awkward, para sakin lang ata.

Napatigil ako sa pag-bibilang when the car turned. I looked at the man who's driving. He just has his eyes on the road, the red lights attached in the wall bringed a new atmosphere inside the car.

He got off the car leaving me behind, after some time bumalik ito na may hawak nang dalawang paper bag sa kamay. He settled it in the backseat before going inside again. He drove again without any word.

Bakit ba kasing mukhang bar yung Lugar? Iba tuloy naiisip kong laman ng paper bag, malay ko ba kung alak na pala yan tapos alukin ako nitong Deliazal na uminom.

Ay pass ako.

"Diyan nalang" sambit ko at tinuro ang gate ng apartment. He stopped the car Infront of the gate, lumabas agad ito para pag-buksan ako ng pinto. "Sige, Salamat bye" sambit ko.

"Wait" he said and opened the backseat door, parang may kinuha ito. When he turned to look at me again, the two paper bags where in his hand. "Here, dinner" sambit niya at inabot saakin ang dalawa.

"Maaga pa naman, at bakit?" Tanong ko. He looked at around medyo maliwanag pa naman. He then turned his attention to me again.

"It doesn't matter, and because I don't want you to cook" sambit niya at tinasaan ko ito ng kilay. Nakalasa ka na ba ng kinahihiya kong tortang talong?.

"Ah, Sige thank you" sambit ko at inabot na ang paper bags. I smiled at him and he nodded.

"Bye" he said and got in his car. I waited until he left before going inside, linapag ko ang paper bag sa maliit kong dining table bago pumunta sa kwarto para mag bihis. I wore a cotton short at sando na blue.

When I got back, kinuha ko muna ang laptop then I settled down in the chair. The tapping of my hands in the keyboard was the only thing that breaks the silence of this apartment. Mag aaral muna ako habang hindi pa naman gabi.

Kaya ko namang mag-aral kahit wala yung pills, so why would Mom keep giving me that? Why does she keep instructing me to take it?.

Ewan, basta I think I can deal with just grades that satisfy me and not her anymore. Hindi ko na kailangang magpuyat pa. After all this is just senior high school and I passed the first quarter of this first sem.

Speaking of that, malapit na pala ang sunod na exam. Should I make a reviewer? Maybe kapag tapos ko na ang requirements at pag may free time na ako. Thinking that im planning on how things should work for the next days hindi ko namalayang dumilim na pala.

I looked at my wall clock and it's already 7:30. Itinabi ko muna tuloy ang laptop at notebooks at inayos na ang mga pag-kain.

It was a Tupperware full of green veggies yun ang una kong nakita sa una kong linabas sa paper bag. The second one was chicken, tapos another salad pero macaroni and the last one was a dessert? I haven't seen this.

It has nuts and cheese in toppings, mukhang potato baka mushed potato and what is this yellow thing?. Mamaya ko na ito titikman baka sumakiy tiyan ko kapag inuna ko ang dessert.

I ate the salads and the chicken, Buti nalang talaga naisipan ni Alius to. Yan hindi na tuloy ako napasabak sa digmaan namin ni mantika at hotdog.

Crisius POV

I can't stop thinking how she asked me why I bought her food. I worried about her safety, maybe if she cook there's some possibilities that I will not name.

And... I noticed some small burns in her wrists. There's some cut in her fingers and some scratches in her thumb. Is she over working herself? Should I get her a maid?.

Where did that things came from?. I couldn't stop the questions from coming it'll I arrived at my condo. Dad and Mom is out of town, But I guess they still know what I'm doing after all they have eyes everywhere.

After the incident with Mrs. Prices Mom scolded me, it turns out Mrs. Prices was one of our investors pero wala na kaming magagawa the court pleged Mrs. Prices as guilty at mukhang hindi na kayang i-bribe ang judge.

When I arrived in my condo, I took a quick shower before sitting at my couch. Mukhang wala pang nakaka-uwi sa mga pinsan ko. Wala pa kasing ingay ang umaalingaw-ngaw rito sa condo.

Ang apat na room rito ay saamin, we choose same floors kasi easy access daw kapag gusto naming magpa-party o kaya naman kung makikitago when Mom and their parents are visiting.

Simula kasi ng humantong kami ng legal age, they all do the things they desired before but there's one thing we promised to fulfill.

Sex after marriage.

Yes, Oo bilin kasi yan saamin ni Lola. At kung susuwayin raw namin at mumultuhin niya kami hanggang sa humantong na kami sa katapusan. Kita niyo yun? Sinong hindi matatakot?.

"Oh god Alius! You will not believe what happened earlier! Hahahaha!" Bungad ni Rio at rinig na rinig ko ang malakas na pag-tama ng pinto ko sa pader. Kapag talaga yan nasira na.

"My door" sambit ko at pinanliitan ito ng mata. But he just kept laughing his ass off.

"S-si Raiden kasi hahahaha!" Anong nakakatawa?.

"Ano kasi... Nag-ano kasi si Raiden hahahahaha!" Ay nakakatawa talaga. Ha-ha-ha.

"Tatapusin niyo or I'll rip your throat in half?" Banta ko. Nagpumilit ang dalawang itigil ang pag-tawa while Raiden is sitting in the corner.

"Si Raiden, assuming!" Sigaw ni Helcius. Tinaasan ko ito ng kilay.

"May babae sa counter! Akala niya nakikipag-flirt sakanya! Doon pala sa lalaking nasa likod niya hahahaha! Todo sagot naman si Raiden!" Sunod niyan ang malakas na pag-tawa nanaman ng dalawa.

I can't help but imagine the situation. Nakakahiya naman talaga, lalo't namumula na ang magkabilang tenga ng lalaki habang naka-upo at nakatingin sa pader.

"Napapala ng mga assuming!" Banat pa ni Rio dahilan para samaan ko ito ng tingin. Di naman pala alam ni Raiden. Tsk.

"Sige, eat your laughs tingnan natin kung mabubusog kayo niyan" Sambit ko at tinapik si Raiden sa balikat. Inviting him to join me in the dining table. We ate what hey brought, pizza and drinks.

"Mom will visit me this sunday, patulong naman maglinis" sambit ni Rio at he bite his pizza.

"Kapal mo, tinutulungan mo ba kami? Eh nakahilata ka lang naman sa sofa kapag naglilinis kami" usal ni Helcius.

"Yeah" I agreed at tumango naman si Raiden.

"Kapag kayo nangailangan ng tulong ko hindi ko kayo tutulungan!" Sambit ni Rio.

"Ge, sa calculus lang naman ako magpapatulong kay ALIUS" Mariing sambit ni Raiden dahilan para irapan ito ni Rio.

"Ay Oo, last time I got low score because you tutored me" sambit ni Helcius.

"Oh di ko yun kasalanan, sadyang hindi lang talaga pumasok sa utak mo yung tinuturo ko" Banat ni Rio. I just shook my head listening to this little arguments. Would it still be the same kapag college na kami? I think we'll be busy enough to not have a time to hang out again.

Lalo't iba't-ibang universities ang gusto naming pag-aralan. Helcius and Rio is going to states. Si Raiden naman sa UP dahil nandoon ang girlfriend niya while me? I still haven't decided yet... But I think I'll study out of this country.

But I'm still thinking about it, I still have this fragile girl I want to protect.
