Once again, Maria stands in front of him just like the last time and look up to gaze at the bright full moon looking down upon them. After this, she might not have a place in the Silver Crest any more, she has been treated bad in the past and she could only imagine how worst it will be after she is officially reject by him
Tonight, every one seem to have gathered to watch her misery, the last time was easy since only four people were present but seeing pairs of eyes throwing disdain looks at her, she could not help but feel like an outcast fish in the sea.
It is time and Maria muster her courage to stare at him in the eyes while she declare her decision to reject him as her mate. She is unwanted in her home and her mate doesn’t want her. She is officially a miserable outcast with no one to turn to.
Even though, Cleaven requested that she stays at the main house with the warriors, she refuses and went back to her only friend Jay who doesn’t care who she is.
That day, she cried her heart out for Janine hoping she would miraculously appear and take her away to a place where it would be only the two of them.
She has promised her to live a good life but at that moment. She felt like she can no longer face the cruel world on her own and hope for everything to just come to an end.
The next two days, she had spend it sadly while reminiscing the good life she had lived with her family and ends up thinking about the bad day when all her family was accused of treason and slaughtered.
Maria was surprised that nobody came for her to torture her like before but turns out her good times can not last, after her break, she was called to the main house again by a dangerously looking guy which is nickname Killer by the pack.
She was brought to a large training field where many male wolves stares at her like she was their prey. She was taken to Toby who smiled on seeing her and offered her a seat.
Turns out that she wasn’t going to be chased out like she assumed but she has been made to join the warrior pack for newbie training.
Toby is the one in charge of training and seeing his smile made Maria get another new hope.
Maybe things would be good for her now, she will no longer be hated by others for being a lowly trash who doesn’t deserve to be their future Luna but a warrior like them.
Although she doubted that they would accept her as a part of the family but at least she has someone who could come to her defense, just as long as Len is not there to manipulate every one into hating her.
“You will start with the basic training first” Toby said when she got to him.
“I will be your trainer” he added.
Maria smile back gratefully that none of the men here will be her mentor, she can’t stand being bullied by the hefty men who filled the yard. She has always wondered why the Silver Crest are fearful packs but seeing the warriors she could understand now.
“I do not agree to this” Lena yelled from behind and Maria jolted at the sound of her voice.
She had always had worst nightmares about her getting killed by Lena after the torture she had dished on her the first time. She is well aware of her deepest hatred for her and her happiness sunk when she sees her at the yard.
“Your Opinion does not matter here Lena” Toby nonchalantly mindless of her furious countenance that is threatening to swallow Maria.
“I will train you enough that you won’t have to afraid of her any more” he said to Maria who is already cowering in her pant and pat her head gently to comfort her.
For the next ten days, Maria focused on her training with Toby and enjoys the evening with Jay to relief the stress of the rigorous training. She did not realize what Toby meant when he said he would help her but now she wish she could tell him a loud no.
Every day, she end up with muscles pain from his hard training and could barely lift herself up after every day training. Thanks to the hardship she has suffered in the past, she could endure this far.
She could feel the eyes of Lena on her everyday during training and she is sure that she is just waiting for an opportunity to bounce on her and tear her apart.
It was hard to train with her wolfy strength but she has managed to conceal that from Toby and she hope she is able to keep it secret for a long time. She can not risk letting anyone know that she is just as weak as a normal human now.
Maria stands in front of the huge tree that she has just been asked to punch down by Toby and give a dread sigh, if she forcefully hit the tree in her state, she might end up hurting badly.
“Relax, this is to test your strength” he told her putting his hands on her shoulders and rubbing it slightly to help her relax.
‘it’s okay if you don’t do well” he added.
She inhaled and exhaled at most at the same time and clenched her fists ready for the punch, with her eyes shut hard, she rush at the tree with all her might and throw her punch at it but it backfired immediately.
Toby rush to her at once to check, she has not only bruise her hand but she has blood oozing out of her knuckles, Toby quickly rush to her and bring her to sit down while he rush to get something to help with the injury.
Three meters away, Cleaven stare at the two looking close headed and he shut his eyes to suppress his urge to go over there and grab the cotton from Toby to apply it on her hands instead.
Seeing them so close together cause a pang of jealousy in his heart and he mock himself for being so shameless to be this way. He has clearly rejected her in front of every one and now hates the idea of her getting close to another.
Not wanting to see the scene, he decided to walk away from there to suck himself in a pool of cold water to appeal Prince who is ranting inside.
“Not only my man now but she is also after yours” Lena tells Naira as they stand at the opposite direction from the unaware duos.
Naira bites off her manicured fingers in anger and rage as she watches Toby blows on Maria’s hand and she bite until she bites off her own skin.
“How dare Toby betray me?” she cried bitterly.
“Our men are being infatuate by an ordinary girl, do you agree with me now that this concerns both of us?” she asked watching her misery.
She has managed to convince her that Maria is also a danger to her relationship too and now it would be a piece of cake to make her help in getting rid of the witch completely.
“what should I do?” Naira asked desperately, the feeling of hatred and betray overshadowing her mind.
“We must get rid of her completely, she shouldn’t be alive if she is causing us this much pain” Lena told her and she nod her head agreeing with her.
Any one that attempt to steal her lover from her must be gotten rid of, she can not leave any strings attached between them
