Run Maria

In the midst of the firestorm, young Maria manage to get out of the house that has nearly burnt down without hurting a hair on her body. She rush to the source of the fire, her sister Janine, blazing of fire look lost without no movement.

The whole places has been burnt to the ground and many dead bodies spray out on the street, Young Maria hear the sound of the horses coming fast at them and her young mind panicked more

She shut her eyes tight and rush into the fire which her sister has created round herself, she grab her hands and yank her body to force her conscious back but she seem to have lost it totally, the darkness of her emotions were getting hard at her.

Maria tried to conjure her powers to try wake her up but could barely make a start, frustrated and afraid of what death will come upon them down, she finally break down in sad tears.

The horses sounded near now and it was only a matter of time before they are captured and executed by the Alpha, deciding to try again, she stop crying and try one more time desperately to evoke her powers to work but it failed again.

An arrow shoot right past her face and shoot into her sister’s heart, Maria scream out loud as the fire cease and her sister falls lifeless to the ground.

She caught her before she hit the ground and call unto her name desperately, she turn her head over to the riders who have surround them fearing for her life too

“Please wake up Janine” she begged.

The Riders parted ways and the Alpha in his horse ride up to them, he get down from his horse holding a bow and an arrow, the same kind that has just hit her sister’s heart, the riders also get down.

“Take her with you” he commanded and two riders grab her and pull her away from her sister.

She try to get away from their grip but they are too strong for her, she watch helplessly as the Alpha walk to her with his claws out and ready to s***h her.

Maria scream on top of her voice for him not to but rather he move to her with his devilish grin and raise up his hand about to strike her, Maria close her eyes squeaking nervously.

But before she could get s***h, Janine get up and shift into the Red wolf, she jump vigorously at the Alpha pushing him away from Maria, the riders fall back in fear shocked and frightened to see the Red wolf back on her feet.

The Alpha was also surprised but not too fascinated knowing very much the excess power of the ancient Red wolf.

The arrow has drain most of her strength and it is only a matter of time before she give in, he pick up his arrow which he has dropped and get it ready to be shoot at the wolf again.

The riders also let their human bodies shift and about thirty wolves surround them, Maria clinch unto her sister for protection hoping she will be able to save them out of this.

The Red wolf grunt in pain at the effect of the arrow thrust to it heart earlier and charge at the north direction tearing the riders standing her way apart and make a run towards the forest.

Another arrow shoots at her but she manages to dodge it and run with blind speed into the forest to save Maria.

The riders chase vehemently after them giving them no break or a second to catch their a breath, Maria pant hard trying not to fall off Janine's back and clench tight to her fur.

She keeps looking back at their chasers while trying to avoid hitting the branches on her way, the Alpha has taken his form and now the giant wolf is chasing them.

Seeing this, Maria gets filled with fear and whimper to Janine.

They are closing up on them and the Red wolf seem to be getting weary, it blood oozes out of it heart and it know it is only a matter of minutes before the Alpha catches up with it.

Janine has exhausted herself more than it power could bear and soon without the Alpha's dread arrow, she will die.

Maria also seems to feel it but she could not ask her to stop so they could take a look at her wound, there is nothing worse than the Alpha capturing them right now.

She tried again to evoke her powers and a dim light appear, feeling enthusiast, she tried focusing her mind to disappear but just before she could try, she fall off the Red wolf drastically rolling hard through the bushes and hit her back on a trunk which stopped her from rolling.

Maria tried to pick herself up and see the Red wolf also down on the ground, with another arrow, the arrow disappeared inside of her and she shifted back.

Maria quickly rushes yelling out her name while struggling through her injuries to help her and see if she is still alive. Janine coughs out blood and grab her hand immediately with her blood stained hands.

"Run Maria!" She gasped as she speak

"Run and never look back, never come back here" she warned.

"Do not end up like me and promise me you will have a good life"

“Promise you will never become a prey to the Red wolf or the Alpha, Promise me sister"

Maria nods her head vigorously to her demands as her tears start to form. The Alpha troop has now surrounded them again.

Janine despite her dying state makes use of the last bit of her power and push Maria hard, making her fly far away from where they are.

She manage to land on good grasses but hurt her back more, she let out a spurt cough and lift her head up to see her sister four meters away hit with another arrow.

Janine in her weak and dying state decide to use her inner core which is the life core of the Red wolf and conjure her power sending a fire blast.

Some of the riders are burnt to death in an instant, causing a good distraction and uproar in the Alpha who is livid with rage at the death of his warriors.

He slashes Janine repeatedly with his claws and tears her body apart with his fang.

Maria watches in horror and brokenhearted as her sister's flesh hang in the Alpha's mouth, she quickly bolts away with her sister's last words ringing hard in her ears.

She tried to run as fast as she could but the loud terrifying growl of the Alpha behind her weakens her feet and she could feel a severe migraine as her eyes have difficulty seeing clearly.

She close up eyes for a moment to stop the dizziness she is feeling but it did not help.

Maria manage to outrun the Alpha but end up at a very high cliff, due to her blindness, she could not see what is below the cliff. Darkness has also taken over the forest.

Not wanting to risk her life, she move back from the cliff and try to find another way to escape but the Alpha and his riders angry growls made her heart cower.

She move back to the cliff looking back not to fall as the furious wolves move close on her causing her to move back again with a step to falling to her death.

In her desperate situation, she try to conjure her powers again hoping it really save her this time, as she try with the riders moving close.

She determined in her heart that even if she will have to die, she will never die in the hands of the Alpha like her sister did. The light shines in between her hands and swoosh of hope flow through her body.

But before she could continue, the Giant Wolf Alpha come at her and tried to grab her, in her attempt not to get caught, she take rough steps back and fall down the cliff with a loud Yelp.
